Mk1 1.8 Zetec Rocket for sale

I bought this kit from RTR (as it was then) in June 2010. It is a rolling chassis and has 98% of the parts needed to complete it. I was determined to finish it myself but have to accept that this will never happen!
The kit includes many of the optional extras offered at the time eg grooved/vented front discs, Wilwood calipers and pedal assembly etc.. etc… I shall list everything in full shortly.
As the kit has stood in an open-sided garage the chassis is showing signs of rust (superficial specks all over). It needs shotblasting to remove the (in my opinion inadequate) powdercoating then priming/painting in the “traditional” way. I think it would look great in Ferrari red (the panels are black).
As well as the original Focus donor’s 1.8 Zetec engine included is a brand new (still crated) 1.8 Zetec engine complete with throttle bodies.
This package would suit someone who wants to build a kit from scratch as dismantling, cleaning and reassembling the parts would be a great way to get to know the car well. As mentioned already there are very few parts still to get (approx. 98% parts present).
