I'm thinking of doing a track day at Cadwell Park and wondered if anyone had been and what they thought of it?

Never done a track day there but it's my favourite track. It's only one opinion but I think when I race there I'm going up against the track as well, more so than at any other circuit.

Not been yet but the high dB limit means it is definitely on my list, went to Blyton about a month ago and had a cracking day.... let us know how you get on, would appreciate an opinion

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah, I did Blyton last year (my first ever track day) and thought it was really good, I liked that it was quiet tight and twisty especially in the afternoon when they changed the layout. I'm hoping that Cadwell will be a bit more challenging and faster. It's booked now for 24th Oct so fingers crossed for a nice dry autumn day

Cadwell is a great track. Expressed simply it goes up and down as well as round bends. Good fun.

You must have sorted the 'drifting/weaving ' at high speed then.....anything above 110 and things get real exciting for me, stuck a front wing on which has helped but not cured

I live 30 mins away from it. Its pretty damn good. 105db limit - handy. Its got straight bits, twisty bits and up n downy bits. Pretty much everything you want. Beware though easy to come off in places and not much run off before you hit something hard and costly, certain parts you come off and its random whether you hit the armco or not. But having said that its well worth a visit for anyone. Just drive at 90% max and leave a bit for escaping if something does go wrong. Going on the 9th Oct in the rocket. Trying a bit of air to oil cooler. Will also try taking the engine cover off Kris, see if that helps with the oil temp, and air intake temp.

Removing cover helps mine a lot, just bought some new mesh with huge holes for front of car/radiator, been informed that will help too, but not sure how much that will help oil temp. ....they must be related to some extent?

I have no issues water temp, but oil shows 115+ admitedly it was warm as hell that day. I might just ignore it or unplug the sensor - what u don't know....... I have a temp/permanent pipe securely attached to the side with tiewraps and duct tape sending air to oil cooler. Will see how it handles cadwell. Will also try removing rear cover see what ifany difference that makes. I probably need a bigger oil cooler - its tiny, but no space to put it unless it goes on top.

Donington is a great track, I have done a few track days there but not in my Rocket. It's a very fast track with plenty of run off.

Well all I can say is go to Cadwell for a track day, it was awesome! 5am start and just got back and packed up so I'm exhausted, but still smiling so totally worth it. I'll up load some video when I get chance to go through it.

I'll up load some video when I get chance to go through it. A few of my mates have motorbikes, they were telling me about a track and I'm sure it was Cadwell. They said it's fantastic, if not a little narrow for cars? is that the track I am thinking of?

If they mention "The Mountain" it's Cadwell.

Done Cadwell in an MX5 and it'll be amazing in an Exocet.
