Hi Davetherave,
What's your budget on this and a time scale you would need it in.
The reason I'm asking is because I am looking to build a car shortly but may have some issues actually using the car myself however if I would be able to sell the car after building it that would be an ideal situation for me. Therefore, I would be able to build the car to the spec and budget you are after if you are happy to wait for a couple of weeks.
Please let me know if this would be something you would be interested in.
Cheers
William - mskeeper

'Am now in possession of the black/silver Exocet off Ebay. I visited sunny Reading on Saturday with my trusty trailer-guy and collected it without issue. Just the weather returning home meant we had to pull in and tarp the car and the tarp being plastic seems to have rippled and scuffed all the aeroscreen, which is a shame as scratched perspex doesn't have a restore method as far as I'm aware. The car itself functions okay from what I can tell but it is a little rough round the edges lets say! Much TLC needed but this will give me a nice project over the summer and hopefully the price I got it for allows for a little spend on the detail. Mostly just cleaning, touching up and some bits of trim. It's nice to have Millie(2) in the garage and something to polish on a Sunday! I'm glad the MEV meeting went well at the weekend. I hope Millie(1) was reliable and good fun!

Ive finally managed to upload a pic to my avatar of my new Exocet. I need to take some more on a very low res as that seems to be the problem getting pics onto here. I've had no issues to speak of with it as of yet. It needed a damn good clean, polish and general tidy up as I think it'd been stood for some time. Also had to make a new aeroscreen as the tarp scuffed the one that was on whilst transporting it up here.
Exhaust had been swapped for a de-cat home made thing so needed new one fitting. But all done and fine and seems to run well but not been too far yet. (Only usually goes to Tesco!) Added some new mirrors and bits and pieces of trim to finish it off, and wife bought me a private plate for birthday! So no regrets yet!
'Thinking about adding a spoiler. Interestingly my insurance company said I don't need to notify them and the policy wouldn't change, as it is a kit car, they are all individual by their nature, and I can more or less do whatever I want to it cosmetically! Anyone any thoughts on what spoiler and where/how to fit it? I fitted one on an Exocet before by mounting the brackets to the very rear of the top of the GRP cover that covers petrol tank. I prefer not to drill holes in there this time so something that screws or will weld to the frame would be good?
'Will try and upload some more images asap.
