OK only 7 days to go!  All set for next weekend MEV Summer Fun Day (7th AMM) weather looks good, full house as far as the circuit is concerned and spectator attendance is high, so prep and polish your vehicles please  Attendance list update:-
Now as a general rule we don't offer refunds especially post the closing date. However we are not a money grabbing club and therefore are quite happy to, for those that have a genuine reason (unforeseen circumstances) refund any payment made if the space can be filled. Both Froggy Wayne and rb Roger have had to reluctantly drop out so that leaves 2 spaces for people to be bumped up from the reserved list this year. So etsun Etienne and shaggy33 if you still interested and available to attend please book (send your payment) ASAP and you'll be added to the confirmed list of attendees. Note:- Following bookings, refunds will be made to those members giving up there places. Hi, I'm 29 on the list (Martin, with an orange and black exocet). I've been given the place as an upcoming birthday prezzie so am delighted with this!
One question, the rules call for a helmet + visor. I have these but the helmet is an open face one with a visor that completely covers my face. Is this going to be suitable?

Forgot to latch front of bonnet down and it flew off. Broke at the hinge. Not sure if I can glue piece back together. Also broke scree and mirrors.  |

Bob you can re-bond virtually anything in grp but you may want to add in some plates within the layers at the hinge to add strength.

Duck Tape mate, was good enough to bring Tom Hanks home in Apollo 13, then again not sure if that is a good thing or not  Seriously you could simply 'tie' the bonnet down with a ratchet strap or similar if you cant fully fix it in time. I added a secondary clip to mine as required by my certifier to prevent such a thing happening but with all things they only work if used properly and nothing is failsafe. |

A trip to Halfords for a GRP kit Bob, they even include rubber gloves, see you Sat IN YOUR ROCKET !!!
I did that same trick once, at Curborough, the bonnet flew a mile in the air, much to every ones enjoyment. Luckily it didn't hit my head, or yours it seems.
