In a poor show of form, I've booked the travel inn rather than camp.....it's a good 4.5hr drive down so a good nights sleep in a comfy bed rather than faff about with a tent has been chosen. While I might be inclined to call you a softy! (rest assured I'm just jealous) If your at all concerned about parking you Exocet overnight at the travel inn, then you might consider leaving overnight at the circuit under the watchful eye of those camping. HWMBO will be brining the tine top, so if you need a lift to and fro then I'm sure it can be arranged. nigel

Uhm, leave the car at the track or at p5curly's place. Not taking sides here but we have all seen what Clarkson and Hammond would get up to with May's car on road trips .

Sounds good although when we're travelling down we prob won't get to the premier inn until 9 or 10pm....we'll bring some fairly secure bike chains with us and chain the cars together....if someone really wants them they'll have to try hard to get them!!
What's the area like btw? It certainly looks ok on Google..

Can anyone pick me up in a trailer? Only live 30mins from track, will pay. Professional car transporter costs over £200 can't jusitfy that. Was going to use a tow pole but it's not legal!

If towing with a pole or a A-frame you still have to have some insurance on your kit as all 4 wheels are on the road

Where are you? I'd split one half a with you if we were free but can't (properly) make it this year

If towing with a pole or a A-frame you still have to have some insurance on your kit as all 4 wheels are on the road A-frames and dollies
If you attach an A-frame to a car in order to tow it with a larger vehicle, the car plus A-frame counts as a trailer.
If you use a dolly to tow a broken-down vehicle, the dolly counts as a trailer.
In both cases the usual safety regulations for trailers apply.
This is the law on A-frames, no insurance required, I copied this from what I found on the net. Hope this helps.
