I was wondering if anyone had completed an XS and put a windscreen and wipers in it. I'd be really interested in knowing how it went and seeing some pics

I don't think anyone has done that yet. I was talking to a plant glass fitter, he goes around with flat lam glass and cuts it to size on site then fits it with various rubber edgings. Then you need to use the MX5 wiper and either a proper heater with demist or just a couple of electric cab heaters. I did this in my Mevster blog.

Hi Stuart
Thanks for the reply.
If you get a minute, could you do me a favour. Could you rest a flyscreen on your XS demonstrator, and then post a picture on here, just to give me an idea of how that would look?

If I was going for a proper windscreen I'd be tempted to leave it until after the IVA, and avoid any complications.

I know fly screens deflect some of the wind but you need to get the height and thickness right

It would look much better with the protective layer removed and square corners, probably without the centre dipping down too. I preferred it on the outside of the up stand to mount it. The up stand provides a good space for mounting the wipers.

Thanks for that Stuart it really helps. I thought it might look daft with a flyscreen, but actually it wouldn't.
I might actually be heading towards making a decision!
