Very good. I'm sure lots of people would be interested in pics when you complete it. What state are you registering it in?

I should have it completed tomorrow. Copying Greg's design a little bit. I'll post some pics and details on my thread. I'm registering in Colorado. Our process is a little lengthy but not to bad. But I've heard they're sticklers for at least one wiper and a windshield.

I'll be sure to check your thread for the details when you get it finished. I am behind in updating as I said I would the other day. Unfortunately the HVAC crew disconnected the washer drain hose and when doing the first load it flooded the laundry room and I believe killed the already dying dryer. This meant a trip to the laundry mat. I also ran out of paint when almost finished with the chassis so I had to wait 48 hours for the paint to cure before finishing it up today. I also painted the shock spacers, some small parts and the evap-canister bracket. Here are some pics of the painted chassis I also completed the rollerskate about as much as I have parts for which is almost 100% ready for dropping the chassis onto it. I'm not sure how to rotate the image in photobucket sorry. I ordered the Supermiata crossflow radiator and 2 upper radiator hoses plus their adjustable HD endlinks for the front anti-swaybar. The Exocet fuel line kit came in from FM this afternoon so I still need tires and wheels and coil-overs then a lightweight battery for the big items. I haven't decided what coil-overs to go with so I will have to ask some questions and do some more research. I plan on going with 15 X 8 0 offset wheels to avoid adding spacers but I can't decide what I want there either. I like the clean looks of Rota 6 spoke IIRC Grids. but I can't find any info on any of the wheels weights. If there isn't a significant difference I would go with the style I like but if there is enough weight difference I would go for lighter over looks.

best i can find is the rota's weigh between 15 and 16lbs. i've been back and forth between those and xxr 530s. but the xxrs i think are closer to 19lbs.

Nice painting. Looks great. Concerning your Ohio requirements that you and einy are navigating, maybe it would be easier to move to michigan?

I've been contemplating a quick jaunt over the border to Indiana (where it appears that registration is an easy task) !!! Curiously, wife is not in agreement ...

I've been contemplating a quick jaunt over the border to Indiana (where it appears that registration is an easy task) !!! Curiously, wife is not in agreement ... The only registered Exocet I am aware of so far, Matt L., had to jump through some hoops, as he got denied the first time he applied. I'm still a bit away from going through it, my first priority is being able to hit some autocrosses in 2 weeks.

Where is "Matt L." located? I am aware of a success reg. in Columbus area (of a MEV supplied chassis), but not aware of any successes beyond that. I'd love to reach out to this other fella for insight / tips / etc. !!

I got the FM Exocet fuel completion set up installed today. I also drilled and installed the rivnuts on the passenger side lower chassis tube ready for the fuel and brake lines. No pics as there are plenty of these.
I ordered tires and wheels and a lightweight 2 1/4 lbs Antigravity battery and terminals for it. Some items are delayed shipping so hopefully I get the frame attached and ready in the mean time.

I've been looking into different battery options, which one did you go with?

I've been looking into different battery options, which one did you go with? I went with the Antigravity 12 cell. I was going to try the 8 cell but for a few ounces heavier I decided to go 12 cell. 2 Lbs 4 oz for the 12 cell and 1 lb 8 ozs for the 8 cell. Both are quite small and very light with no vent or mounting issues. Got mine at Racers Parts Wholesale with free shipping. I'm going to try and bend an aluminum bracket for it. I read a few light battery threads on GRM, Corner carvers etc..before deciding.
