Launched at the Newark, kit car show and it went down a storm.
The MX5 donor was clearly a good choice in terms of keeping the build easy to carry out and low on cost.
We are now working on our second body option for the same chassis. Customers that are reading here that have already placed an order will be given the choice of GRP styles at no extra cost. We are doing a version with softer lines and a different shape grille at the front. They will be ready in 3 weeks. Our prototype that was shown is already completely stripped and production of the first batch starts on Thursday. We are quoting 6 weeks delivery times at the moment.
It was interesting to over hear comments at the weekend, quite a few felt that it needed a cover over the exhaust and prop! We left the cover and fire wall off so that you could see how easy it is to build. I also heard a number of people questioning our build cost claims.
"Don't believe it". "Where is the catch" etc. Of course the facts are true and it can be done for 2k but then you add VAT and lights and paint unless you wish to piant it yourself.
It still works out to be the cheapest and easiest kit to build on the market today by far. Reckon we may be delighting quite a number of folk with these. I will get mine back together for our track day when it will have the revised body option.
