I might have kept the sofa, my wife has said many times that I may as well sleep in the garage

Needed to have a tidy up in the garage, so rested the body on just to make me feel I am further along than I am!

It was actually worth doing mate, rear brace is miles off, assumed it bolted onto rear mounting bolts but would say that's about 3 inches off, where did you bolt yours to?

This is mine, can't see it going any other way to be honest. I've seen someone use some thick high density foam to help space between bracket and body but didn't think was that much.

John, sorry should have been clearer, it was actually about 3 inches too long, front of the arches were rubbing on the wheels

I've put slots about 10 cms long in the frame where it bolts to the chassis to allow some adjustment.

Wow is it really that long since I last posted on this! Well the joys of daily life have really got in the way, and I have been having fun in the Rocket, also had a load of building work done which forced my hand and made me find somewhere to store/work on the replicar so at least that’s a plus! Have been working through what was done before it was put into storage, trial fitted the steering column was a little concerned about the position although after fitting the indicators and cowl etc it looks about right considering where the dash will be sitting, next thing to do is finish the fuel lines and tank, slightly concerned about the spacing between the medals? hopefully progress will now be a bit quicker! how to upload a photo on fb

Hi there, quick question on the fuel rail, two connections under the regulator, have assumed the one directly under the regulator is the inlet, the one just behind that the outlet, the small connection on top of the regulator I’m assuming is a vacuum, but it’s that long since I took it apart have no idea where it’s meant to go! Probably added to the confusion by installing throttle bodies Thanks Paul

I think the thing on the front of the fuel rail should be a pulsation damper, no lines connected to it, could the part have come of another car? There should be another one in the fuel line near the engine.

No fuel rail is off the original donor engine, I don’t recall disconnecting anything off it other than the two fuel lines which are underneath, odd one, I might just cap it when i get to fire it up and see what happens
Cheers mate

Just found this picture online looks like the same fuel rail, so feed and return are underneath as I thought, there is a pipe coming off the top of the regulator just need to figure out where it goes, I’m assuming onto the original inlet manifold, need to find a 2000 1.8 to have a look at, thanks again
