Hi all, just to update the strip down has started, how many wires!! looks like the alarm is going to be a bit of a swine to remove, seems to be wired well into the loom, numerous sensors everywhere but hopefully will look a bit more straightforward when its out of the car, not made a call yet on the poly bushes

Wiring took me 4x longer to remove than I had anticipated and Ive left the alarm/immobiliser in the loom for the time being on the basis it all worked when I stripped it out so it should all work when it goes back; once I get it up and running then I'll decide whether to remove.
Have you had a look at the video I posted which demonstrated what I was trying to explain in previous post in respect of poly bushes?

Hi mate, yes I did watch the good and the bad video you posted, where did you source your poly bushes?

Got mine through a third party but they came straight from manufacturers uk suppliers (bushes are from Australia), details are in my workshop (at the in-laws), I will get them next time I go over.

Hiya mate as part of the DeBoRah build our choice of rubber bushes was made following the decision to buy new drop links which came with new rubber bushes the old links were well rusted we followed then with rubber ones on anti roll bars and wishbones and so glad we did. We have new OE shocks and We are running on 14 inch wheels with high profile tyres and think the ride quality and cornering etc is just about right. Any harder may just have spoilt it. Car currently getting a tonneau made for it so when she's back home come up and have a ride. We're only half hour away

Evening mate, very kind, will certainly take you up on that, as you say only half hour up the road, may have to make a few trips as I progress for reference!
I wasn't planning on changing ride height/adjustability so will only replace shocks if required like for like
Thanks, Paul

Morning all, bit of progress, bumpers, lights, interior, doors, boot, bonnet, dashboard and wiring loom removed, can see the Cobra alarm being a swine to remove its seems to be hooked in everywhere, car is looking very bare which is pleasing feels like progress is being made despite limited time over the last few weeks, looking forward to getting the body off shortly!

Does the alarm work? Could just leave it in.

Yes was working when I started so assuming I plug everything back in correctly that's an option!

I'm leaving mine connected in the loom until I have car up and running and will then look at stripping out (or not).

Hi there John, unfortunately not as much of an update as I would like! am pretty much ready to remove the body, couple of last bits to do, need to get my skates on though got the letter today to let me know the body/chassis are ready for collection!
Knew I should have given myself more time, working all hours, 3/4 of the way through a degree and moving house, all at the same time wasn't a great idea! at least the new house has a big garage!
