I was thinking it may be slightly past it, I have found a new radiator on ebay for £30 so just waiting for pay day to order that in I can't find the clips for the cables, also, the thickness of the plate that they come through seems to cover half of the slot that the clips go into... only seem to have 1mm to work with... Will have a hunt for the clips or see if I can fabricate something out of 1mm steel. Made something out of ally but too thick and just bends when any force is applied. I have taken the centre tunnel back out to see if I can reshape it at all as it just doesn't fit both sides and when I was under the car it looked like it was rubbing on some wires around the gearbox next questions I have are: which of the fuel pipes on the plate on top of fuel tank is feed and return? same question but for the brake reservoir... which goes to the rear brake junction block and which goes to front brakes? Cheers

Hi, well done on fitting the MX5 seats. Fuel pipe in centre of pump goes to end of fuel rail near the belt.

That radiator top tank is turning green..might not be long for this world.. Did you get the C clips fitted to E brake cables in car.. Coming along nice.. I have bought a new radiator and will fit tomorrow or this weekend. Been looking through radiator mounting throughout the forum and there seems to be a mix of mounting it inside and outside the front frame... I held it up at the weekend and just couldn't seem to get it to fit inside the bar.... bit worried about the narrower nose cone and therefor needing to mount it inside the bar or will it all be alright?

Cheers

They normally have an inertial lock. Orient them as per in the donor and then give them a wiggle- should fix it.

They have to be straight up/down and not tilted. pull all the out snap it a little.. there is a ball inside that moves.

Urgent question, I am looking at putting xs on a trailer to move house as giving the job to transporter company is coming in at ridiculous prices! Big question is..... what does the XS weigh? I need to know before I book a car trailer that I can legally tow it

I managed to get the seatbelts free from the tilt lock, Next issue is around how to mount the seatbelt, Below are the three obvious options I have: Option 1 Option 2 Option 3 Option 1 - easiest to mount but results in 180 degree turn in seatbelt.... pretty sure thats not right...? Option 2 - seatbelt is now straight but will interfere with the bulkhead once that goes in.... Option 3 - create some sort of bracket to hold the unit away from bulkhead and keep strap straight, I fear that this is the one its going to be..... BUT as this is one of the anchor points in a pretty crucial part of the car, how safe is creating a bracket going to be if I ever have to use seatbelt in emergency.....? Advise on this would be appreciated, also need to know the weight of an xs for towing purposes... Cheers all

Is there option 4? Like 2 but on the far side of the bulkhead?

Is there option 4? Like 2 but on the far side of the bulkhead? I thought of that but was wondering about seatbelt essentially outside the car and exposed to the elements? What have others done with seatbelts?
