Got home at last has been a long day, leff home at 6:30 this morning and just got back from dropping the trailer and tow vehicle back.
Sad to say that the Sonic failed but not a bad fail, here is the list of fail points
1) Tethering of fuel cap made from unsuitable material, The cap has to be tethered if the key can be removed when the cap is unlocked. (
suggested fix use a small chain)
2)Rear reg plate space not large enough (
easy fix move number plate lights up)
3)Gear stick knob had less than 3.2mm rad (
suggested use original gear knob from donor not aftermarket)
4)Speedo did not read correctly even though on driven wheel (
suggested fix to take to a rolling road set it up and get evidence from company in written form and that would be accepted)
5)Must have manufacturer's plate on chassis Vin number is no good on its own (
Suggested fix ask kit suppler for one or I will make one at work)
6)Side repeaters not in correct postion even though all sonic's that I have seen and the MEV demo car are in the same postion as mine (
Suggested fix mount them on the engine cover and remove the original ones)
7)Headlights not for UK use
8)Rubber fuel pipe touching engine component - My fault must have missed that one (
Fix clip out of the way)
So I think all in all not to bad, ot should not take to long to put things right. I hope that this may help some other members comming up to IVA time.
Will update you all soon
