Am I the only one braving the weather for this event? I haven't seen anyone else mention it If anyone does pop along, I'll be in the Yellow Rocket - come say Hi Weather is iffy, but looks like there might be SOME dry spells.

I should be at Brands on Sat with the Southern Kit Car Club, SKCC. Hopefully might see you about.

Cool - be nice to see you there. I'll be with RTR for the day so I'm sure we'll cross paths. Praying for good weather at the mo ? Cheers - Carl

Hey Mark, Likewise, shame I didn't get to spin you around the track in the passenger seat. The weather was a bit against us Carl

I would love to hear more about the event. Was it busy? Which manufacturers were running? Did they have lots of potential purchasers waiting for rides? Did you get sufficient track time? Was it well organised? Was there any scrutiniser issues? What was the weather like? Too cold or wet? Wrong time of year or good value for money? Comments appreciated to help us decide on similar events in the future. MEV Ltd were not present as we were at the NEC show.

It has the potential to be a really good show. Lots of passenger rides on track throughout the day by the manufacturers using their demo cars and also customers with their own kits. It was good to have / see cars out on the track throughout the day. The parade lap for the clubs attending was a good idea, but at 3.30pm most people had left and it was a bit dissapointing. Lots of access to the pit areas for the general public. It would benefit from being held earlier on in the year when the weather would hopefully be better. I would personally have liked to have seen the the kit club areas closer to the main area and given more space to display the cars for the general public to see. I would also have the parade lap in the middle of the day to ensure maximum number of cars on track. We did have two Exocets at the show, mine and "H1 EXO" who came up from Southampton, and RTR were their giving rides on track. See link for compilation video.

Great vid Mark, many thanks for posting. For an expensive track like Brands there needs to be a queue of traffic and 30 or more cars out all day to make it pay. In the video it looked sparse on track. Moving it to better weather is not likely again due to costs. Delighted to note at least 2 Rockets and 2 Exocets inc the Toyota powered Rocket plus a MEVABUSA.

Hi Stuart, I am in agreeance with Mark, the day has loads of potential if only the weather could be more relied on. The opportunity to get out on track with a potential customer can only help promote who we are and what we like to do. The massive fly in the ointment is always going to be the weather in Nov. Very few people relish the idea of a wet lap in an open car & I suspect had a massive impact on general attendance. The layout with acceess to the pits / cars and the whole experiance of 'signing on' even as a passenger could make it an exciting day - regardless of the track it is hosted at. A British weather conundrum at its best

The TR1ke also did a few laps although a wet slippery track and one rear wheel did require some care. I pulled over 100mph on the pit straight though which was pretty thrilling to say the least given the prevailing conditions and the use of road tyres. As Carl states, we needed better weather. The track was also closed at 3:45pm due to failing light which cut the day rather short. Sadly, I fear a summer date would be cost prohibitive. Hats off to Steve for organising as it was well attended, although it felt more like a jolly for the manufacturers than a major sales opportunity.
