Hope this isn't a 'rehash', but what seat slider are you using between the 1" tubing you added and the seat? They are the Corbeau double locking universal slider. Here is a google search for them. If you are quick it looks like you can get a great deal from amazon.

My sliders just came in the mail today, got em from Amazon for $26.50 ea with free shipping. I'll order the tubing and do exactly like you did with the mounts. Looks good!

Sweet! Just picked up two for my exo. I was going to order the universal bracket but this makes way more sense. 53 dollars, shipped. Now to order my forza sports.

Just for reference this is the steel tube I ordered from Onlinemetals.com. Two 4' lengths seemed to be the most cost effective shipping wise, but if you can find it local that would be best. A bit of googling should find you a coupon code for 10%-25% off. It was covered in a very thick oil/grease coating so be ready for that if you order the same steel.

Have a great weekend, and for goodness sake, keep posting "motivational progress pictures" please !

What price did you get them for? I just checked Amazon and only see them for 51.57 each. Did I miss out on a good deal?

When I posted that link amazon had them for $26.50 each, free shipping. I looked again and they were up to 27 something with 7 something shipping. Looks like thestig and einy grabbed them super quick.

I installed the Corbeau 5 point harnesses today. The Corbeau harnesses come with some hardware but to install them in the Exocet you will need six 7/16-20 grade 8 nuts. The local hardware store only had ungraded fine thread nuts so I have some Grade 8 ones on order from McMaster-Carr.

So I have been trying to figure out a good way to mount the front brake lines. I was making a new clutch line and found this bracket. Mazda lists it as a "holder, clutch" but the part is discontinued. So I called Treasure Coast Miata and they found a couple of them for me. I mounted them to the frame like this: One on each side and the front brake lines are done!

Wow, that's an awesome find, I'll have to keep that in mind for my build. How much did Treasure Coast charge you?

Thanks for the heads up on the sliders. I didn't need a pair but bought one anyway, if I can use them, awesome, if not, I'm sure I can sell them locally for a small profit.

They charged retail price for used parts... $25 for the pair plus shipping. I figured it was an obscure part and someone had to go pull them off of donor cars and they need to make some money so I went for it.

Spent a bit more time with the car today. I finally mounted the clutch, brake, and vacuum lines to the fire wall. I also made a block to mount the proportioning valve to the transmission tunnel. Its made of delrin and has a 81.1 degree angle cut into it to match the angle of the tunnel. Here it is mounted to the proportioning valve and mounted in the car below.
