Good to see you in the picture too. You are shorter than I imagined, but you look cute with the blond hair. You may have to raise the seats a bit.
Great build - looking forward to seeing it in the flesh
Cheers

Wow, that's some car. Where are you roughly? Would be nice to see it when it's finished Thanks for the comments. It will be at most of the events when it's done. I am in a small village on the edge of Bedfordshire/Northamptonshire border. More than welcome to pop over if your are ever in the area.

Engine delivered today ;D It's taken some time to put together with a few issues on the way, but very pleased with the results so far. To date what has been done: * New crated engine, stripped with forged rods and pistons fitted * Lightened flywheel (from 12kg to 5kg) * Raceline cast baffled sump www.raceline.co.uk/products/part_section.asp?SectionID=62&CategoryID=4* High torque started motor * Jenvey inlet plenum with 70mm throttle body and fuel rail * Larger 412 bosch injectors * Race inlet cam fitted and shimmed to exhaust side !! * Engine fully balanced including Crank, pulley, flywheel and clutch etc * Helix cerametalic clutch assembly (should be good for 300ft/lb torque) * ARP big end, head and flywheel bolts * Resurfaced head and block face machined/reduced. Valve pockets machined into top of pistons. This mod will help to reduce the 'squish' clearance and keep the correct compression ratio. It will be required to allow for any further power mods done in the future. Best to have it done now whilst the engine was apart * Gearbox - Quaife ATB LSD, Quaife Straight cut close ratio gear set. Should produce 55mph in 1st and top speed of 155mph at 8000 RPM. Should also be be very quick through the box.

Rocker cover giving the game away a bit, but I am aiming to Supercharge the engine using a Rotrex Supercharger. I will be putting the engine in this weekend and from this the car will be going to Rotrex UK to have the supercharger bracket designed and made from billet aluminum. To date their is no bracket available (or that I have found, and trust me I have looked !!) to fit a transverse engine arrangement to take good power/torque consistently and safely - so once it's complete, the design will probably be bespoke to MEV cars running a 1.8 or 2.0 Zetec
