Had a good run of 3 days on the car. All suspension set up, engine wiring complete and running, next job lights etc and fuel tank cover / exhaust. Plan to complete this month but not in time for Stonleigh. Any help with locating mirrors, headlight spacers and IVA form examples would be great. Cheers Guys

Hi Mark,
Doing great, nice to have a few days on it i bet,,, Choices for mirrors and lights are endless, just making sure they work with the IVA rules is the hardest bit,, IVA forms not to bad once you read it through, dont forget the amateur build declaration form that needs to be sent with the IVA application,,, make sure its the latest version,,, will email you what i find,,, Give us a shout if you get stuck

Hi Scott I bought the R1 mirrors the same as you have. I will copy the locations you used to mount them if this is good for IVA. I need to raise the headlights to meet IVA 80 degree rule. How did you do this last time? I am a little concerned that the wishbone brackets at the front are not the correct radius. Will need to look at making a cover for these too. As for exhaust. I am looking at either a bike can shortened or similar, what did you use? Cheers Mark

Those mirrors should be ok, but before you fit them set up the Mirror markers in the manual so you can see everything, sometimes you have to stick a Convex replacement mirror on the N/S so you can see the Triangle without moving your head,,,
Headlights were put on 20mm round posts to raise them up,,
My exhaust was a Universal Stainless steel backbox that i modified alot to make it work,,,

Thanks stiggy. Plan was to remove the tail pipe at the test if they are not happy. this will leave a stub out of the box within the wishbone boundary. Was worried that rubber trim would melt if I put it on. What do you think?

Hi Mark, I would cut it back and put a swaged end on, Halfords have a few options. Best of luck for the test, it looks fine, why don't you see if you can get it registered and come to Newark. Stiggy
