Hi Skyrangerman
Looking good. One point to look at are your front Lights. I put mine in the same place but when I put it down to RTR for them to put it through IVA they fitted some brackets to move them closer to the edge of the car.
Cheers Andy

Which radiator did you go for? Is that the standard tank just relocated?

Thanks Andy,
I will double check the measurements from the ground and the edge of the car, as against the IVA regs, I am sure I measured them when I fitted them but you cannot be too sure.
Jonathan.

Hi Mawdo,
The radiator is an all ally twin row one for an Escort RS Turbo series 2. and the tank is a standard focus one.

Sorry Mawdo, Just realised you where meaning the fuel tank not the expansion tank, yes it is the one that comes with the kit just relocated in the front.

No problem, you didn't do a build thread did you? I had a look but couldn't find it.

No, I tried a few times but could not find out how to post photos, plus it would have been a bit drawn out anyway as I have had my kit 4 years so far. But I can always take photos and post them now of anything people might like to see. Cheers Jonathan.

How did you mount/secure your tank? And is that an additional piece of alu to direct the hot air coming from the rad over the tank?
Thanks
James

It is a piece of foil covered foam 25mm thick stuck to the front of the tank, with about 25mm overhang all round to protect from the heat source of the rad. Not sure if this will be ok for the iva man , but i will find out on test day. The rad is bolted to a couple of rails which are rivited between the lower chassis members.
Cheers Jonathan

Thanks, let us know when it is and how you get on. I'd have thought leaks and heat sources for ignition would be the issue but the auto ignition point of petrol is over 200 c and the radiator won't get much above 100 would it?

Had a phone call from vosa today, got an IVA date, 7th of May at the Leighton Buzzard test station, only about 3 weeks, getting a bit nervous now. If the fail list is not too long I may get to a show this year.

Hi Jonathan
Good luck with the IVA on Wednesday. The build looks to be done to a high standard so should fly through.
