Items stripped so far.
All Fairings All lights Rear brake pedal and cylinder Foot pegs Front brake handle Both brake reservoirs Gear shift pedal Petrol Tank Seats
Gear linkage Rev counter/Speedo Exhaust & Exup servo & brackets Hand switching Air intake box Mini/ Sub Wiring looms (rear & front lights etc) Wing mirrors
All items on the first list are the ones I am thinking of ebaying. I have already sold the front fender, indicators and tail light. Please can you confirm if I need any of these other parts, I wasn't sure about the brake reservoirs. I am assuming also throttle & clutch cables are not needed, or any of the brake lines.
The items on the second list have been removed and I am reasonably confident that I should keep them. I have taken lots of photos and I have also bought a P-touch label printer and labelled all of the cables & pipes etc. This was on the advise of fellow kit builders on here.
I am thinking that I will need the following from what is left on the frame.
Battery All electronics and loom Frame for IVA Rear brake calliper Engine & air box Swing arm, wheel & drive train Engine & swing arm mounting bolts. Rear shock & Links Rear mudguard Ignition switch
Have I missed anything? Things I am not sure about are fuel sender & fuel pump.
Thanks
Matt

frame is not needed and is possibly your most valuable part, depending on the year of the bike. Sold my frame and log book for £970 on ebay. Good luck with the build

frame is not needed and is possibly your most valuable part................... Isn't it necessary to keep the frame & log book until after the trike has been registered if you want to keep an age related number (not Q)?

Nope you can sell it, you get a new reg with your tr1ke as most of the parts are new with just one reconditioned part being the engine/drive train. I will say RTR are very good with the paperwork side if things as I did my own MSVA with no problem but I did need some help with the DVLA paperwork.

Hi guys nice to be in contact again. Parts are selling on ebay already. I am confused about the fuel system, my bike is 2002 injected and I can't work out if I need the fuel pump or not from the tank. Please can any one tell me what sort of fuel pumps I need and how many. I read somewhere that fisher fury owners use a rover v8 fuel pump for thid engine as it is Bosch, Cheap & High pressure. I am aware though that the Tr1ke has two tanks. Is a swirl pot required? Thanks

Hopefully Paul will offer help but I think putting the std pump in a purpose made swirl pot would be needed.
Yours is not the same as his and I'm not sure of the fuel pressure required, did the bike only have the one pump and was it inside the tank?

Hi Slugshot.
As far as I can see it is one pump mounted on the underside of the tank. It is a white plastic unit.
The good news is that RTR are sending me my missing parts so I don't have to purchase them.

So the pump's underneath the tank, this seems like a simple setup without the need of a submerged pump. Though I imagine it will have a return to the tank.

Hi Matt, I just Googled the 2002 fuel pump and it looks identical to the one in the 5VY model. Have you had a look at vtR1k's build thread? I'm doing something very simular with a purpose made swirl pot.

There is a white plastic part that fits into the underneath of the tank. I am assuming that this is the pump. There were 4 hoses running to it from memory. I think they are feed, return & 2 breathers. I may try and take a photo later. But I am guessing that the pump itself sits in with the petrol on the bikes tank.
Thanks

Rick you are right it looks the same or similar.... OMG that swirl pot, where do I get something like that fabbed? I wonder if there is an alternative as I don't TIG weld.
