It's still filthy and the bonnet needs wrapping in grey but you get the idea!

300mm vented discs and 4 pot Wilwoods are massive overkill but I'm planning to add a turbo sooner rather then later so I'll need them

I went for an uprated radiator from a Polo G40 in the end as it was the biggest one that I could find to fit in the space. Glad I did now as the temperatures are nice and stable.

It's exactly like what my Rocket wants to look like when it grows up! That's the colour and finish I wanted on my powdercoat, but I picked the wrong swatch on the day. I'll be spraying my body panels very dark grey too.

Hopefully you won't have the same problem I had, I need to make a little heat shield for my LED light clusters

damn that's got rather warm! Mine are fine so far touch wood.
Thanks for the comments, I'm really pleased how it turned out. I'm just considering putting a rear spoiler on it now.
I got my arches wrapped rather than painted as my mate goes all over the world wrapping private jets and super yachts. Even with all his experience he said they were a swine though!
It's probably why he's not been back to do the bonnet!

It's probably why he's not been back to do the bonnet! My bonnet is currently done in grey PlastiDip, with platiDip 'smoke' on top but I'm getting rid (it categorically does NOT simply peel off! See below where I've tried) because I'm unhappy with the finish. I'd be ripping if I'd bought €200-300 quid worth upfront. I went with 3-4 cans, plus assorted extra bits (prep, smoke, clearcoat), cost a touch over €100 I think. I did 4 coats and it looks and feels like someone rolled it, freshly painted, in some sand. Narp! Going to paint it properly. It has since picked up oil stains that weren't part of the original finish.

Documents and receipts away in the post today.
According to the guy at the DVLA I'm looking at about a 10 day turnaround so I might catch a glimmer of sunshine yet!

Have you tried Goo Gone to remove the plastic dip.. put on a couple of times waiting a good 5 minutes between coats.. Don't let it dry.. rub off or even better use a pressure washer..

Hmmm, never thought of the pressure washer, I got a 180bar there recently that takes paint off walls and lichen off stone, even if that's not the effect I was going for. I may take the bonnet off the chassis though lots of waterproofing otherwise. Ta!

Got the bonnet wrapped. Proper chuffed I say sir. Bit of carbon fibre sir. Simply lovely.

Much appreciated Kiwi.
It's been a long road but well worth it.
A nice new 67 plate should be allocated to me on Monday!
