Cheers, was trying to decide whether to go for 16's or 15's thought 15's would look too small but seeing them on yours they look bang on and slightly lighter

First outing in our yellow mevster today the car clocked up 50 miles so with my bro (freshp5) taking first clutch of the wheel we cruised out of my street to be greeted by the traffic lights and the dual carriageway that was our first bit of freedom for the car green light and my bro put it into launch mode WOW the car took off like a greyhound out of the trap so first visit was to our late father to show off our creation I hope we both made him proud ok so we are still buzzing from our morning only a couple of things to sort and a bit of better weather and then I think I will have to retire my work car for a bit roll on the summer

ok so a but of update since our mevster became road legal it has brought up a couple of minor issues so after dragging dave kicking and screaming from the drivers seat we set up on sorting the kinks out
firstly being dash pod ours was not up to scratch so we bit the bullet and ordered a grp pod from stuart and repaired dash as it looked dull so dash panel and pod have been hydrodipped in carbon effect and re fitted next was the bonnet catches we had fitted some cheap catches that push lock on but vibration kept popping one out so we fitted aero catches so from this to this no doubt my brother freshp5 will want to test these out so while I am in the garage fixing my family car mot fail points he will be tearing about in the mevster

The small round ones are ok but one kept bouncing open when we went over a bump so the aero catch seemed more secure just a pain to fit as theyare angled on bonnet

ok so another update on the mevster due to the cold and rain we have been doing a few odd jobs on it firstly a bit of paint so off came the bonnet with the aid of some quick disconnect connectors that I fitted at the start of the build off too came the rocker cover and exhaust manifold a splash of yellow and silver from dave (freshp5) oh and he splashed out on some Jackson racing leads and a new stainless manifold then to finish he came back from Europa spares with a foot rest for passenger footwell I think he thought I was gonna put my foot through the firewall/bulkhead when we had our first outing as I am a rubbish passenger and I realised the bulkhead is not the brake oh well that's it for now just hope sunny weather hurrys up

so now we fitted some new coolant hoses even the pipe that was the old heater connection
so Saturday morning and the sun is out our first real cruise but oh dave (freshp5) had other ideas as he had booked to get rear section of exhaust replaced so off we went to MIJ performance exhausts where we got it sorted first we got a decat pipe this gives us the option to re-install our original cat if we need to as I was concerned about the emmisions at mot then the guy suggested making the pipe from cat to our back box all one piece even welded to our back box which is from (RTR) and one I got second hand from a forum member and I didn't want it damaged . so the guy talked us through his idea and having a moment to visualise it with the car up on the ramp we agreed here is the end result so now the box sits central to the rear of the car
