Commute is always awesome in an Exo! So I'm trying to figure out a new gauge cluster cover. I want to do something like this (that other members have done):

 How do I do this when there are two tabs at the top of the gauge cluster as see in this picture:


Do I just cut the tabs off?

Looks to me like the ones with a cover are from a Mk1, I don't think these have the top tabs, mine didn't. Bottom picture are Mk2's hence LCD odometer.

Good point. Didn't even think of that. Perhaps I can just cut the tabs off and mold a piece of metal around the cluster...

I've told on Instagram... By far the best example of an exocet outside of manufacture or vendor built. By a long shot!!!!

Few questions for you...

-Would you happen to have a video of your exhaust setup?
-Does the back side of the magnaflow also have magnaflow on it? I would prefer if mine didn't advertise magnaflow although I would overlook that for something that's refined.
-How do your headlamps look at night? Are they bright to look at? And how is the light they give off? I am asking because I want people to see me coming up from behind them and I want to make sure my headlight choice allows for good night lighting.
-Have you had any desire to add a top mounted "third" brake light?
-How hot or not does the transmission tunnel get?

~Sorry for the delay, I'll take one tomorrow afternoon. I think you'll like all aspects of it.

~I'll double check tomorrow. I don't think so, and I'm sure if you contacted them (they build to order) they could flip the muffler around.

~I bought them because they are DOT stamped and I was really worried about that for registration. I hate them. They are terrible. The brights are about the same and the low beams of any new modern car. I bought some rigid knock offs and will try those later in hopes they are better.

~I don't see a need. I have LED tails now (DOT stamped) and I think they are brighter than my headlights. I guess if you like the look of the third brake light, then it shouldn't hurt.

~It does get warm. Not burn your hand warm, but... It is nice in the cooler weather to keep your hands warm. I plan to wrap most of the tunnel in this:

Thanks for all the info. I'm trying to think ahead. That's my reason for asking about the lighting. In miami people are insane drivers. It's my only reason for not owning a motorcycle here. I want people to see I am there. All too often I hardly see some motorcycles and I ALWAYS look twice for them. Always thought motorcycles with brighter lights is a smart move. I always see them from a long way off. Waiting on flyin miatas lighting kit but that may be a long way off yet and also dont know what they look like.

I am looking at headlights also. Are you running the Dominator's that exomotive has? I just have not found a good solution for the headlights. I went by a bike shop local to me to check out various one's they had and none of them put out much light. I wonder if a off road LED light may work as a good solution. Is that the Rigid knock off you are referring to?

Since Harley Davidson has gone to projector beam lamps on many of their bikes now, I wonder if anything from either their OEM or Screamin Eagle catalogs would work?
