Sonic is looking great Barry - and love the powerplant . And of course, an excellent choice of colour scheme I guess it's just a little too far for you to get across to Curborough for AMM 5 next year?!? Martin

Thanks Martin. I like your colour scheme as well. Unfortunately the is a bit far but hopefully I ccan come aoss one day. The plane ticket is OK but transportation and accomodation is expensive so I'll have to save some more.
Enjoy it though and although I don't know anybody there, give them my regards from a fellow MEV Sonic enthusiast

Beautiful attention to detail, Barry. What did you have to do to fit the Honda and which one is it? If I could I would like to go with a K24/K20 "frank" but not sure if it will fit.
Any updates?

Hi Hasbro. I have not been on this forum for such a long time so you have my apologies for not replying. If you are still interested, this is what I did. I used a Honda B20B bottom end and fitted a 1988 Honda V-tek cylinder head which only needed some minor mods. For fueling, I used throttle bodies from a Toyota RSi 20v with a Dick-tator management system. A Honda engine turns anti-clockwise so I had to re-manufacture all the engine mountings. The driveshafts also had to be specially made up to take Honda on one side and Ford on the other side. Should you wish, I will let you have pictures of the engine mountings and the mounting points. Just remember that the gearshift is manual and the ford cable system does not work (I don't think). Should you design a cable system or find a cable system that does work, please let me know. I'm sure it will be more effective that the manual one. Mine works very well but would prefer the cables. I also used a Honda V-tek LS gearbox which I imported from the UK. Should you ned any other information, I will gladly help to the best of my ability. I won't stay away so long again. Good luck with your build. BARRY
