I noticed that about the length of the floor, I thought it was too short at first as I wasn't convinced it covered over half the width of the rear and front cross members. I initially thought that it would be trickier to position correctly but I would rather have that extra challenge than have to make two more extra cuts. The thought of cutting this huge sheet with a jigsaw fills me with fear!

Due to my seats I'll be adjusting my centre tunnel drastically to suit and fit

Funny but mine was plenty long enough, mind you it needed to be to allow me to cut off the ruddy great ding it had in it from less than optimal packing.

Funny, I had asked for a sheet of ally long enough to cover the front nose section too, but RTR recommended fitting it as a separate piece (using tapped unions rather than rivets in case it needed to be removed to drain the rad or whatever). I'm waiting for the remaining bits from RTR, which they're sending on. Sure, it was 5 weeks (courier took the piss) between the build being finished and me taking delivery, so a few days won't kill me :-)

Mine was not long enough to over right to the very front but plenty long enough to extend into the front area, it reaches the bottom of the radiator which has been pushed forward.
Going to add the separate piece later.
Let me guess, upon opening the package and finding the tunnel missing you shook your head and asked yourself "But they have packed and freighted all this stuff surely the tunnel could have fitted in as well".

Or, I'm sure there must be a check sheet which is multi signed on each item :-) ;-)

Simple explanation for missing tunnel. All parts were assembled and checked, then whilst Simon's kit was awaiting collection another kit was due to leave us. Our suppliers of alloy failed to deliver on time so Simon's tunnel was borrowed and a note was left to replace it prior to wrapping up the pallet. Note gets misplaced, pallet gets wrapped minus tunnel and we are left somewhat red faced. Posting a tunnel to Ireland will cost far more than the value of the tunnel itself so as you imagine I'm far from pleased that this has happened. Even more so now we know that Simons kit sat only a few miles away from here for 3 weeks before it was shipped to him as we discovered the tunnel/note within a few days of it leaving us So apologies from us and lesson learned in not robbing parts off a packed and checked kit to give a part to another customer. Would it not be easier to commission one in Ireland? There must only be 10-20 quid of ally Max, I bet you posting it costs more than that, like you said.

Yeah, I'm not upset at RTR, this whole process is going to take 2 years I reckon, and I've plenty to be getting on with in the meantime. The bits I've got are great, the chassis is very impressive, and I'm almost certainly going to order more bits from RTR as I realise what I need (SS-marked nuts'n'bolts for instance, I've already ordered from them). Stuff happens, it's what you do about it that marks the quality of the service, and RTR are sorting it. Topper :-)

RTR I believe this is known as "Robert's Law" (not named after me either). Robert Law simply states that - "The more awkward an item is to post in relation to it's value, and distance from destination, the more likely it is to be left out of a shipment where it could easily have fitted". It is a variation on the law that states that "Batteries are only not included when the shops are shut".

Spray it with a can of CRC400, dries to a waxy film and they reckon you can leave the coated metal outside for a year withOUT corrosion setting in. Plus when dry the film does not get on your hands or clothes like wet spray or oil. Hmm, what is CRC400? Googling produces no results, ebay thinks its a cooker.

If you do find it Barney let me know, I'd like to drill some small holes and fire it inside, a little like wax oil.
