Come one Mog'ers this is by far the best event of the year just look at the reviews post last years AMM, I mean this isn't a race its more a social event and an opportunity to have a little bit of safe fun with your pride and joy.

COME ON BOOK NOW !!!!!!!!!!! nigel I need to, but please understand, it could be the cars first outing with next to no miles on it, that's if the IVA, and DVLA behave themselves. If I booked for the track, then it would be an exercise in learning the car, in a safe environment. (Without kerbs and pot holes). It would be a shame to book a 40 session though, that I couldn't use if it wasn't ready. As it looks like I couldn't sell the ticket on..(at the minute). Now.. If I could trailer it, that would be a different matter lol.

Don't worry if its not IVA'd or even completely finished in time, you can still bring it and run it I remember when Stuart brought along his unfinished Sonic7, turned out to be a great opportunity to bed the brakes in and resolve those niggling little issues that always plague first time build. It also gave a massive boost of enthusiasm to get it all finish nigel

I may do such a thing lol. However, with the amount of builds 90 percent complete, and pending IVA in month or two, is it worth shifting the date? It may allow the moggers who are not able to attend, the opportunity. Please appreciate, that I do not understand how much work this would take to achieve, or whether its possible. It's a suggestion, and may not even be possible. I don't ask for myself, but for others. I think the trailer option may be viable for myself

Many people trailer the cars to events, whether finished or not, like stated above, great opportunity to bed in brakes, and get steering issues resolved, if you trailer it there, you can also bring a trolley jack, tools etc to tweak it and make adjustments normally having to wait until you drive it home.

Normally it's the 3rd weekend in July this date has been pretty much fixed for the last 3 years because it's just before the kids breakup from school i.e. start of the summer holidays plus it's about half way between the Newark and Donnington (was Stafford) kit car shows, and doesn't conflict with any other major car shows although this year due to the rearranged F1 schedule the Goodward Festival of Speed is on the same weekend. This year there is also the Oulton Park, Carfest North to consider, which a number of Mog'ers are also going to. September is not normally a good month for weather however with the climate changing each year it could be a future possibility. It's a yearly event so hopefully each year it will grow as those that didn't manage to make last year should have no real excise not to make this year. Although there are no published sales figures for MEV cars I did overhear 'Stuart Mills' during his Stoneleigh Seminar state that he has sold over 350 Exocets kits to date, so I'm a little surprised that not more Mog'ers have booked. (Probably just waiting to see what the weather is going to be like, I guess ) nigel

Cheers Nigel..
You know I have to ask, if it were a simple case of moving dates to allow another 10 cars etc, it would have been worth it lol.

As an extra tool in the MEV arsenal of tracking gauges and weighting gear, I shall fetch my Innovate LM2 wide band lambda for fellow moggers to utilise. It's hand held, and has a data card for exporting your data if required. Really simple to use, and may help sort out your flat spots etc. So, £40 for a trackday, that can assist in your cars handling, and safe live mapping/diagnosis...! Bargain.
