So, I am nearly to the point to where I am going to place my order for my sonic 7 and was hoping to get a few pointers to make value and the build easier.
I am about to buy my donor car 2000 SVT Focus w/ getrag 6-speed and SVT engine. Its wheels/tires are in good condition as is the rest of the car.
Is there anything else I should look into?
Seats?
Rear wing?
etc.?
I am looking for alternatives to make it as unique as possible without doing much damage to the pocket book.
Anything on the options list that I can do without?
car will be in the US.
How about tools? I am already looking to purchase an engine hoist and blocks to put the frame on
I have a drill, dremel and any other small handheld tools, nothing much that requires power though.
thoughts?
I also tried searching a color chart for the model, but cant find much out. is it pretty much whatever color i can find?
Sorry if everything has been discussed, i searched and didnt find much

Have you been in touch with our U.S. distributor www.doveracing.netHe has a couple of Sonics in stock at the moment but if you are looking for a custom colour you will either need to have your panels painted or choose from this colour chart and order a kit from the factory: www.llewellyn-ryland.co.uk/standardrange.htmlPete Dove has built an SVT powered Sonic 7 so will be able to give you good advice. How is the swap from the 2.0l zetec to 2.3l duratec? i understand that the exhaust is mounted the other way, but the mounting points are all the same. I would much rather purchase the all aluminum block and use it than the steel block of the zetec.
thoughts?
