Hi all, Another question, On my 1.8 zetec, I have a Black/Orange wire coming from what looks like some kind of sender which is located in the engine block inlet side, just to the top left of the oil filter location, does anyone know what this is and where the wire goes. Regards Jonathan.

The only sensor I can think of That's near the oil filter is the oil Level sensor.

Vapor dash doesn't have anything for oil pressure at all, so you're quite right, this shouldn't need to be connected. Martin

Thanks again everyone for your help. For those who have used the mev power board and control board, on the drawing for the connections the smaller control board has a + Batt spade terminal, am I to assume this is direct from the battery and not from the ignition switch, so live all the time. Also the one next to it, ECU Pin39 spade terminal, this seems to have a small -(minus) sign above it, does that mean it should go to earth, which does not seem right as it would just earth the ecu39 wire. On the larger power board, the terminal STOP/DASH, i assume it is the stop light feed but what does the dash bit mean, and where does the brake switch wire from the pressure switch connect to. Lastly, what turns the reverse light on and off and how is it connected. Sorry for so many questions, but after these i think i should have just about cracked it.
Thanks Jonathan.

Your ECU pin 39 connection goes to the Minus terminal which is
the negative supply to the dash immobiliser LED.
The positive terminal is simply a fused permanent battery feed for
the dash immobiliser LED.
The STOP/DASH terminal is to supply the brake light switch and
supply an ignition feed to the Vapor dash or any other type of
instruments you might be using.
Reverse terminal off the relay board will extend to the rear
supplying the reverse lamp switch in the gearbox with a
feed.White and blue to original green with yellow trace.
Other side of the reverse switch to the reverse lamp.
You can use your black/orange of the oil pressure switch to run to
the front if you wish to have an oil pressure warning light.
You can also extend the grey wire pin 1 from the alternator to the
front if you wish to have a battery warning light.

Hi Jonathan
The ECU Pin39 onto WH/BK on MEV Loom and onto pin39 ECU BK/OR wire
I think the STOP/DASH connects to the stop light switch then from the stop light switch to the lights with the WH/RD wire in the MEV Loom.
Hope this helps Andy

Cheers Mark, The red that goes to the handbrake switch, is the other side of this switch to earth when handbrake is operated. Jonathan.

Yes, it should just earth itself through the handbrake.
The orange I mentioned might be a yellow! Can't quite remember now! But the other 2 are obvious, so you should be able to figure it out.
Cheers Mark
