Hi Scott Whats the plan for the fuel filler? Are you going to have it poking out of the frame at the side? What pipe connection is that to allow for the mounting flange? Like the colour choice.

Will, Looks like it should be from one ;D ;D ;D Mark, This will fit onto the side of the Tank cover and sits close to the edge of the chassis not past it !! the connection just sticks out past the flange, so should just be able to connect 50mm ID fuel filler pipe sourced from CBS pipe then mount it to cover,, Well thats what i hope anyway, Scott

Hi Scott I am in two minds whether to make a fiberglass or Acrylic box. I was going to look at making one with a lower height than yours but have a raised square scoop out of the top to the side similar to the engine cover to mount the fuel filler on. Unfortunately I think my ideas are beyond my ability!! I Think with the work load on RTR at the moment it may be a while before they can look at anything. Never done any fiberglass moulding before so all new to me.

Mark, Nothing is Unachievable I have spoken to a good man who is going to make my GRP cover from my Pattern Once we have conformed that it all fits,, One thing I'm being told is be careful with complex designs as with most molds patterns etc its removing it from the mold that is the problem, ie decent taper sides etc,, this is more of a problem with wood patterns,,, Scott

Hi Scott What is the rough costing for your pattern to be made into the finished article?

Mark, With me as always, A BIG FAT NOTHING,,, Well for the GRP Panel anyway, but then it will need painting to match the rest of the car,, I have found someone who has offered to make it for me, but until im sure everything fits not going to get it made,,, Scott

Mark
As I say, we need to be sure it fits and works, it maybe altered slightly for size and for looks, then if all is well, from my pattern there will be a mold to be used again and again if people like it, and im hoping it may become part of the GRP set or an extra at least???
Just trying to help make to make the builds easier for IVA etc,,,,
