Hello everybody, my name is Daniel and i live in the Netherlands, in a small village called Giesbeek near Arnhem. Last week i bought myself a MEV Sonic 7 kit. I bought this kit from a fellow member of the mevowners forum. The kit is almost at the start position, so enough work to be done. It came with almost all donor parts including an engine, which is already fitted (1.8L Zetec) Of course i'm gonna keep a build log. I don't have end date in mind, but i'm thinking about 1 a 1,5 years. Below some first pics of it's current state... Cheers

Hi Daniel glad to see you got home ok,I have to say there is a very sad looking empty space in my garage now but i wish you all the best in your build and will be watching your progress with envy Andrew Thank you Andrew. It was a quite a long trip, but worth the while. I got home around midnight. Emptied the van first. We got the sonic out with no real problems and without an enginehoist. Now starter to sort everything out and calmely start building. I will keep a build log, so you can follow my progress..

watch out to build euro 5 engine to get approved in holland next year so dont use this one. also de-coat the complete chassis to get it inspected and vin stamped before registration and get proof of origin of all parts and a tank and axle certificate to get dutch registration. I had to do this with the rocket too to get registration tax isnt getting cheaper here to get kits registered, kind of a nightmare , The sonic wouldnt pass the dutch seatbelt test, thats why I chose the rocket at the time
