Looking great! How did you treat all the silver parts (engine, caliper, tank, fan etc.) are these just cleaned and spray painted?

I have been watching your build with a considerable amount of anticipation of its completion. Withing the next couple of days, (possibly a week) I will place an order for the Eco-Exo "R" kit. I have a donor for the engine and various parts already. It is a 2009 Burgman 400. It is a crashed scooter, but runs very well. I anticipate doing some minor modifications to the fuel tank mount, as well as the radiator and gauge cluster mounts. I had to purchase two older single rotor front rims and axle combination and a good gauge cluster. The crash damaged the gauges. I am all set with parts and just need to get the order in to the Exomotove folks here in the US.
You guys have done a terrific job on your kit. I am especially impressed with the wiring bundle and sorting it all out. You have done a very NEAT job of all that you have done. Good idea with the bubble wrap protection. I have to ask, what was the most difficult thing you encountered doing the build? I have to admit, I am a bit concerned about the newer designed gauges and fitment for my build. We will see! Anyway, I look forward to more photos and information as your build nears completion. Good luck!!

Hi Roger,
Glad you like the build, unfortunately big bro doesn't do forums etc so I have been updating the build when he sends me the photos etc,
The only real thing that's has been difficult is he is totally unorganised ;D ;D and he can't find any of the bits he put in a safe place!!
Other than that he and his mate have done a cracking job as first time builds and it's all been finished off to a high standard, I think he might even be having his first test drive tomorrow weather permitting!!
Cheers Scott

I FINALLY received my tax refund notice. My funds will be available on the 27th of this month. I can order my "R" kit then!! I have been glued to the forums and trying to get all the information I can to make my build easier. I have the donor bike all stripped down (such as it was) it was a salvaged insurance write off, but the engine runs great. No body panels or gauge cluster... Still I bought it for $600.00 US, so cannot complain. Just a quick question, what is the diameter of the steering wheel? I need to put one on order. Post pictures when you have them, and let us all know how the inspection and test ride went.. Looking good.

You can use many sizes, its personal preference!! this is a 310mm Flat bottom, but you can use a 250mm if needed, this can make the steering more sensitive, Didn't manage a first drive due to loads of snow,, but getting very close to finishing now,,

Thank you very much Scott. I am actively looking for a steering wheel now. There are tons of them out there and the prices are all over the spectrum. I suppose I will go down to a local parts house and see what they have and maybe pick one up. I believe a 300 - 320 range would work. 250 would be a bit small.
I have been looking at the orange "R" model on the Eco-Exo web page and like the orange seat you have chosen. Is that a Tillett T-11? I want to get something on order and have it here when the frame arrives, but want to verify the width of the cockpit. Tillet is an excellent brand and from what I understand is also quite durable. I really do not want to be a pest, but could you provide the inside frame width, and also the size a model seat you installed in the orange "R" model Eco-Exo.
The big brother build is coming along quite nicely. To bad about the test ride. I know about the snow, we are 45 inches OVER our yearly average here in Worcester Massachusetts. Spring may be on the calendar, but mother nature must be dating the ice king (or queen)?? And has forgotten to press the "Spring" button.
I look forward to more information and the build once I get my kit.
Roger
