No the dates are nothing to do with CKC/Omex, that will more than likely be repeated in the second half of the year.
I probably won't make either of the Llandow dates either, but I will defiantly try and hook up with you some time this year before the AMM ;D

That would be great. I am looking at bump steer this weekend and that will be the last of my suspension mods that i had planned for the winter. I am keen to get my car sorted and put in a good showing for the AMM.
I am in Oswestry in a couple of weeks and have booked myself in with Demon Thieves to get some TOYO R888's as well. Is that in your neck of the woods?
Cheers

Bump steer ! Have you had a problem ? and what were the other suspension Mods ? Triple 8's we are taking it seriously this year. Demon 'Thieves' your right their. Why you going there for tyres anyway, when I looked last year, I found that I could beat there price of a set of 8's by as much as £150 on the net. Unless as I suspect your going on there laser alignment rig. (Just a note they don't do corner weights) I'm now getting worried your going to show me up on the track O and yes DT are about 45mins from me nigel

Hi Nigel
I'll post a piece on my suspension work soon in the technical area. I have not done any thing radical but I hope some fine adjusting will make a difference. No real bump steer problems, but I fancy geting fussy with a plumb bob and a straight edge. I am missing the build over the winter and yern from some driving time. Setup work is the next best thing.
Where have you found R888's so cheap? I checked Camskill, ebay, partbox and black circles and found Demon Tweeks the best. £70 each plus £5 fitting/ballencing and £1.30 for nitrogen. Thats for 195/50 R15. If I have missed a trick on price I would love to find out before I buy them, not after!
I emailed Adam at CKC magazine. He confirmed that they will run a CKC/OMEX day at llandow but he did not have the dates yet. He will post them in the magazine when it's been arranged.
If you fancy doing a track day together with Motor Sport Events that would be great. I'll keep you posted what dates I am going to do. I may even do March 27th if the weather is OK. I'll keep an eye on the weather report and book it late (I run the risk of it being full, but I don't want to spend £125 on a wet track day)
Cheers

Hi Matt That’s not a bad price, they wanted just over £600 from me for a set of 205/40 R17 and Camskill, who I see you’ve already tried, were quoting £115 each at the time. Maybe I should look at fitting a set 15” wheels instead, as it appears to be a lot cheaper to have that size of wheel shod with quality rubber. Will keep an eye out for CKC/Omex dates. Yes I’m up for a track day together with Motor Sport Events but it will probably be after Stoneleigh, we can discuss the details at the Show, but agreed I don’t fancy doing a wet one either. Must say that the AMM Circuit day is looking VERY GOOD VALUE when you consider most other track days are between £100~£200, role on the summer. ;D nigel

Hi Nigel
Yea, I fitted 15" wheels for that exact reason. However, I have just bought a set of second hand 15" Wolfrace wheels just for the R888's. I have spent ages in fron of the TV over the winter rubbing them down, and i'll take those to Demon Theives to get the tyres fitted.
The AMM day is seriously good value. Anyone reading this who is not signed up must have a good think about it. A sprint day on a race track is great fun. The cars will go round one at a time, no pressure to drive faster than you want to, just take it easy, start slowly and explore what you and you car can do. No speed cameras, no curbs, no inocent pedestrians, just 30 odd seconds of fun, then queue up again. In my experience no one cares how fast or slow you are, they just want to see people enjoying their car. If you spin, you end up in the grass, no harm done, but at least it shows you were trying. so if you are driving a MEV product, and fancy the cheapest track day you will ever see then sign up now.
Cheers Nigel
See you at Stoneleigh, I'll let you know what Motor Sport Event day i am likely to do

Wonderfully put Matt, but just remember its not only a day on which you can play with your toy on a track. Its also meant to be a fun day where owners can meet, exchange views and ideas, see in close detail other MEV products, make lasting friends and take part in the friendly community atmosphere for which the Mogger's are becoming known for. Role on July nigel

Hello everyone
Complete Kit Car have anounced the date of this years CKC/Omex track day at the Llandow circuit. It on Sat15th May. I have just added my name to the list, if you want to do the same contact Ian Stent to book a place. T: 01823 335443. E: ian@performancepublishing.co.uk.
Nigel went last year and it looked like a lot of fun
£75 for SUBs members (subscribers i think) or a bit more if your not. Actually, that pays for most of the subscription price, so its worth thinking about.
Cheers

This sounds great, I am sure we will get a good reception from the editors if several MEVs are there. It's a good oppertunity to raise the profile of MEV and RTR. I have never driven the circuit, but Nigel has posted an excellent guide on you tube, well worth a look.
I want to think that the rocket will be fastest, but I have absolutley no reason to think that. Nigels car has a bigger engine and is well put together, mine is a bit lighter and it's orange (that must count for something) so only time will tell.
Will there be one of every sort of MEV/RTR car there? My Rocket, Nigels Sonic, Are RTR bringing a missile, Tr1ke and Atomic?
Cheers

Is the LLandow circuit better in real life than the layout suggests?

I have never driven it, but a close friend rates it very highly. Although it looks a bit simple I understand it's quite a technical circuit, with a good mixture of corners. It is well suited to nimble cars so it should be good far any MEV.
Nigel drove it last year and appered to enjoy it. Perhaps he will post here soon.
It has just been resurfaced and has a good reputation, thats good enough for me...
Cheers
