Hi paul, no not heard from rtr yet,i rang them just over a week ago they'd not got a date for the test yet. Im starting to get twitchy now,I can see it taking as long to get all the legal bits done as i took to build the kit. meanwhile newark gets closer, we,ll have to go in yours if im not sorted.

It's passed!!!!
Well done Kev.
The kit was collected from us on the 19th of March and passed it's MSVA test today, 2 months later!!!
Is this a record?
This shows 2 things, the tR1ke is extremely straightforward to build and Kev is a damn good mechanic.
Our input was limited to a couple of minor tweaks and adjustments.

Thanks chaps, I must admit i didn't expect it to pass 1st time. With vtR1ke having having a small list of things to alter, i thought mine would fail too, but i think the dutch test must be more stringent than ours. I think you've done a smart thing Edwin bringing yours here to be tested. I should have enough time to do some personalizing to it before the Newark show.

well done, definatly a record! Streets of yorkshire wont be safe, not a car will pass unless we meet our nemesis, the speed bump! I have found all speed bumps in Hudds to be fine, its a little low when 2 are in for catching on the ground :-) I look forward to Newark

Now that the weather's better I've being out and about showing my tR1ke to some friends, everything is bedding in nicely. I've done about 300 miles including going to newark and nothing fallen off or broken yet. A friend of a friend was a bit of a non believer regarding it only having 3 wheels and only an r1 motor, apparently it would handle like a shopping trolley and not be quick enough. quick as a flash my mate gave him a helmet and i strapped him in. As soon as we got a clear run i floored it until it was flat in 5th then braked hard went round a 70mph 180 degree corner then flat through the gears through some s bends before returning, to get his opinion regarding the handling and lack of go. I never did get a proper reply, he was shaking at the knees and foaming at the mouth until i left for home. PS sorry for the story,i thought it was funny but i suppose you had to be there
