Ph is strange like that what you contributed to the kit car section was really good. I suppose you could get people on here to start topics over on ph on your behalf. I would be happy to do that as im a member over there. My name is mg chris over on ph.

Yeah. It's a shame, but there are ways around it. The 'Stiggy Mills Your next design?' thread on PH is still viable, and also is good as it tracks the X5s development too. ps. I'm Iwantoneofthose on PH

Working on the pattern to take a new mould for the optional front end and the optional rear end with different light units. The boot has a separate lid and a double bubble section. The front is a clam shell and will include the bonnet. The car is a Superlight on the all new lightweight chassis, a second chassis can be seen in the background, you can aslo see a rough start on the dash pattern in the background. I don't like the smell of filler anymore!

Thank you Italo, the hinge works well and the join is discreet at the side vent detail.

I think i might have to hold on with the order for the lightweight exocet this as got me intrested i properly would use this more to. Im guessing you will have this at stoneleigh kit car show will have to see it in person first. Im guesing that the lightweight version would have to have a iva.

Thank you Italo, the hinge works well and the join is discreet at the side vent detail. I really like the idea of a hinged body from a build and maintenance point of view, is there any chance this concept could be incorporated into the rear of the car as well as the front Stuart ? nigel

Hi, I don't feel it is necessary to hinge the rear as it only gains access to the tank. This can be accessed by removing the double bubble part of the rear cover. The boot is separate and can be hinged using the MX5 hinges. I am forming the return under the boot lid at the moment so water does not get in. I am then going to make a return flange on the split for the front clam for locating studs to be fitted to. This is going to be done in the mould for accuracy. The new front and rear options can be chosen for the Coupe or convertible X5 too. This means there are now 12 X5's to choose from.

Have you got a side by side picture of the front & rear options?

Have you got a side by side picture of the front & rear options? Julie took the only picture and there is a bloke standing in the way! Not long though for a proper photo shoot. There were some drawings of both on here, can't remember where.
