Hi Freak,

I hadn't but just checked them out. May be the type of thing. I was thinking more of just the foam pads but the price of the JK things isn't too bad. We have Intatrim around the corner from me too, may go and pay them a visit.

Red, been doing abit since i came back from hols, will have pics over the weekend, got the induction kit on, wheel spacers fitted, carpets cut, waiting for glue to arrive. All the lights are wired and working, but not yet fitted, want to get the suspension ride height correct before fitting so the iva man will be happy .

The small pads you mention, can be ordered in any size you want, go on their web site and see the sizes they do, measure your seats up and give them a call. they do other colours than those advertised.

Go on ebay and search "self adhesive closed cell foam" you can buy it in loads of different thicknesses and sizes. It peel back and stick on and very easy to shape at a very good price too

Ahh. That is the tip I needed. What it was called. Race seat foam etc brings up the small bits and the proper 2 part racing seat expanding foam.

Had a good weekend on the car, got the induction kit fitted, so that leaves just the headlight wires to plumb in then the bonnet can go on for good.



Bonded the grill mesh on and then bolted the front into position.





Cut the side panels and fettled them for fitting later.
Due to having 215s on each corner i needed to fit the lights off the rollbar / suspension turret. I made an L shape bar and fitted lights to the top and bottom of it, they are 350mm from the outer edge so iva friendly .

The fog light is straight onto the chassis and the reverse light will go on the other side.







Getting near the end now and thinking when to book the IVA crumbs did i actually say IVA ;D

Not seen that set up for the back lights before looks good. Just one thing even though you have a heat sheild over the exhaust there will be a lot of heat coming from the manifold which isn't so good for the air filter idealy it needs a cold air feed to stop heat soak when the engine gets hot.

I had thought about that, but with no sides on the car i think there is enough draft to feed the filter and disperse the heat at the same time, hopefully will find out soon.

my airfilter is similar to yours (although a little further back) and ive had no issues as of yet with heat soak, as you've said its got good ai flow in that area

you might have and issue with the fog light on the IVA as it needs to be 100mm from the brake light IIRC

They make square plastic plugs that will fit in the ends of that alum stock..it would finish off the bracket after painting it.. don't know your IVA regs but can you just change the lamps top to bottom or does the red have to be on the bottom..

Cheers for the filter info,
The fog light although it doesn't look it is 110mm away, to be absolutely certain i can swap it with the winker and put it at the top.

Hi Mathew, thanks for the comments, the seats were off ebay this is the sellers name .....marleymoos...... drop him a message, he seems to have plenty, £15 a pair and is based 1 mile from J3 on the M5 at birmingham.

Hi stevieboy, great looking rear loght setup. I hate to put a spanner in the works at this late stage but I remember reading in the IVA manual threat the brake lights need to be a minimum of 100mm from the fog light. I had to change my setup as a result.
I'd be happy to be proved wrong but might be worth doing some digging.
