What size are those inlets/outlets they look small don't want to choke down the exhaust..nice looking though.. might be to long to exit rear..end to end with a Y would be different and hide the diff like a valance.. maybe 90 deg tips on end to exit to rear..

Hi gwnwar, yeah the inlets are 16mm inside diameter, but x 2 makes 32mm. Standard is 50mm so will be modding the ends prior to welding to standard pipe, a y piece will not work as the exhaust does not have a central exit.

Unfortunately its not quite that easy as just doubling,
I work in forging so do a lot of surface area calculations for Dia bars
a 16mm Dia has a 201mm^2 surface area
A 402mm^2 surface area is the same as a 22.62mm Dia
A 50mm dia has a 1964mm^2 surface area
They look really nice!! I've gone down the motorbike can route too.

Steve
I think it was Avant Kiwis Sonic that failed its IVA on the joint between flexi and fixed brake hose. Reading between the lines the joint needs to be supported by a bracket - i cant see yours as there out of shot , but see no trace of the Bracket.
sorry if you havnt got there yet but id thought id advise you.

The surface area of 2x16mm The surface area of one 22.62mm So basically having the two 16mm pipes will reduce the pipe flow to the same as what a 22.62 mm pipe would. I don't know anywhere near enough about exhausts though to know if this makes a difference.

Found my engine number tonight, it was where every body said but just didn't sand it down far enough. As i feared it doesn't match the log book, but it was an import and the engine number is shown as the same as the chassis number on the logbook, suppose the importer couldn't find it either. Will send logbook in before iva. How do i find the age of the engine, i may be able to go cat free if the emmisions are set higher for its manufacture year.

Steve Steve any chance of getting the measurements you took for the front brake bracket as I want to get some welded to my subframe prior to powder coating.. Cheers Chris PS have you finished the fuel tank yet..?

Hi Chris, measurements to follow. Got the brake fittings finished today, not a big job but very satisfying when completed. Measurements are: Also got the fusebox fix onto the chassis. Next job is bleed brakes and final fix electrics, body work is cut ready to fit and hopefully will have pics this week with the bulkhead all finished.
