Good question Stuartk. I'll start a thread on the issue so we can discuss it, but really its for Stuart Mills to explain. Anyway here's my understanding. First lets view what the official statement is on MEV's website:- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is the intention that this will allow perspective buyers an overview of the pleasure and enjoyment to be had of building and owning an MEV product, while giving MEV vehicle/kit owners/builders secure access to a detailed structured technical section where they will be able to openly discuss any concerns and issues, seeking guidance and clarification from both the manufacturer and other owner builders. It is hoped that over time the technical section will grow to give invaluable information and advice that when combined with the various MEV build guides will ensure the builder an easy and successful build. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think reading between the lines that its MEV's way of being able, on mass, to disclose detailed proprietary information to its customers, while withholding it from its competitors. Such things as utilization of the Ford ECU. It is also the intention to post the various build guides on the forum to ensure the latest version is always accessible. However I hope that Stuart Mills will elaborate on his reason for Password control in the future.

So let's have a password free main techical section like the old forum and a seperate MEV propriatory info section. I love the volume of info and knowledge to be found on the Internet and I would hope that some of our posts will also help a wider community of kit builders. For me some of the Locost sites have been really useful. My 2 bits and I'll leave it at that (but no posts tonight as I havnt got a password yet)

Why don't you start by introducing yourself in the 'who are you' section and outline your build spec I say again glad to have you on board. ;D (Is cord going to pop in ) Nigel
