I've looked through this a few times now and I've got a question. Do any under bonnet items need relocating (for example, From picture 9 it looks like access to the under bonnet fuse box is going to be tight once the kit's installed)?
Scotty B. (PS, I still think it's a stunningly pretty kit !)

Hi
I'm liking this a lot but.....
I personally feel if I was to purchase one, the bonnet would be glassed to the "clam" and a hinge system would be made to make this a "flip front" I feel with locating guide pins up near the screen, and lockable "over clip" catches on the lower rear of the front wings, it would clean up the whole look of the car and give really good access to the under-bonnet area.
As I feel the bonnet line catches your eye & ruins the look of what could be a extremely stunning car.
And as has been mentioned elsewhere, I think the rear screen opening needs to be made "shorter" & to be an opening item, then the rear screen can be manufactured from laminated glass, with holes drilled for catches/ hinges.
These basic modifications would give a really really good looking sports car, on par with many mainstream manufacturers.
(edit)
And having thought about it a little bit more, The hinge system from a E34 BMW placed at the bottom of the clam, would work perfect for this as it would move the clam up and forwards at a 45 degree angle, before you fully tilted the clam open. The E34 could provide the locating guides up near the screen too.
Regards
Mark

Hey guys im a newbie at this but does it matter wich kind of mx5 you use for the project? Budget related I would propably go for an older model, the ones with the turned up headlights unless others are better suited?
regard,
Ben
