Hello everyone,
I'm thinking of putting together a parts pack of used parts ready stripped from MX5's to complete this build without having to buy a full car and more importantly spend time stripping parts off and selling whats left.
I could do a budget pack containing parts simply removed from a MX5 and sent out as they are.
or
I could do a pack where the parts are cleaned, painted or powdercoated, and the engine is fully serviced and cleaned (including timing belt kit and waterpump).
What do you guys think? or am I taking some of the fun out of building these kits.
Your thoughts are welcome.
Cheers
Mick

The parts would be supplied by a MX5 specialist breaker who are also involved in Motorsport, maintaining two very competative MX5's one a 1600 in Ma5da the other is a 265BHP turbocharged in a local Sports and Saloon championship. They are approved agents for many new parts for MX5's and obviously have garage services and fully trained specialist mechanics to get the work done if needed. Their parts are all checked before being suitably packaged to ensure safe transit.
We will be sorting packages and prices out over the next few days, that may include built to order vehicles ready for the road ............................ or track .............................. or both.
Thanks for the reply
Mick

Hi Mick, sounds like a good idea especially sand blasted and powder coated chassis parts, maybe an exchange basis may provide builders with professionally finished parts at affordable prices. Most of us do not have such facilities available to obtain a nice finish. Best wishes with the venture please keep me informed drycleanteddy@aol.com. 1 completed Exocet and 2 donors ready for the next, regards Ted

There willl be an "exchange" facility.
All parts would be blasted, powdercoated and poly-bushed with all ball joints in good condition or replaced with new.
I don't want to mention much more at the moment, when they have things a bit more sorted (within a week) there will be a post put up with details of offers and contact details.
Thanks
Mick
