Hi Nigel are you bringing your sonic to newark or are you bringing your exocet doner again Ho Ho he he Ha Ha Don't think Nerys would be too happy if I was to do that to her beloved MX5. Should be the Sonic if I can get the engine back in this weekend. nigel

When you say "get the engine back" are you moving it further to the rear? Sorry to hear you are not buying a SDR, didn't think we would get rid of you that easily ;D I have a plan though, come to Newark, I have just the car for you, yes I have been busy again, top secret though so don't tell anyone. All you need is a MK1 MX5 with a torn/missing roof. Got it?

Tryed to be more environmentally friendly by using peddle power but it just wasn't as much fun so its back to the internal combustion engine again 'A NEW CAR' I had my suspicions, you have been far to quite of late Anyway you had to use up that Mk1 MX5 Auto that was lying around your workshop. If you like I'll send you a picture of the finished car your designing. nigel

A new mx5 based MEV? If the pic in CKC is yours then maybe i should stop dismantling as it looks like the main tub is under the new fibreglass panels.
It looks like it could be a everyday kit car there hasnt been many of those.
Dont keep us in suspense how about some sneek peaks

Looks like Stuart is going to make us wait until Newark to see his latest creation. But I wonder if he will leak some more information.
I guess fibreglass front and rear section and roof. Targa roof would be nice the body tub is strong enough and we could still have topless fun , i also bet the pop up lamps are gone and are replaced by fixed headlamps.
I reckon you could still sell lots of MX5 parts to subsidise the build as you do with the Exocet - Wings front and rear bumpers lamps roof could be a cheapish build and straight forward just bolt the front section and bond the rear and send to the paint shop.
How close am I Stuart? Give us a clue does it have a name yet?

LEAK, LEAK!!!!!!!!!! I can reveal that the front lights resemble those used by a firm in Hethel. I can also confirm that the rear lights are used on the Pagani Zonda. It does not require IVA. It does require paint. It does not have a removable top. It is MX5 based. It has a name. MEVX5. It will cost about £3000. Please come to Newark, you will not be disappointed.
