need wiring harness for california NB, and some advice

Couple of things - I've been in touch with SNS mazda parts, looking for an OEM harness to replace the loom I've chopped up. Owner says mine is hard to find, due to 2000 SE from California. Any help here? Also, I read somewhere, on another board no doubt, that the miata only needs SEVEN wires to run. If there's truth to that,I'd sure like to know which wires...

I think any 1999 - 2000 US spec, manual transmission harness will work for you. Variations for different trim levels are probably just for accessories - audio systems etc.
