MEV OWNERS 11th Annual MOGers Meet 2020
It's what you've all been waiting for!
The format for the last couple of years appears to have worked well, but we're always looking for new ideas and suggestions.
You get to do as many laps around the world famous Curborough Sprint Course in Staffordshire as you like in a safe environment.
The Date: Saturday 11th July - 8:30am to 4:30pm
The Venue: Curborough Sprint Course www.curborough.co.uk
The Deal: All day flying around a dedicated sprint track with no other cars (or trees) to get in your way.
The Cost: 1st Driver £50.00. Additional Drivers £25.00. Passengers £5.00. Spectators £0.00 (FREE!!!)
The Format: Turn up, have a briefing, sign a disclaimer, jump in your car and go do some laps.
This isn't a track or race day, so we run the day as a "1 off, 1 on" format. As soon as the last person leaves the track, the next person starts.
We know everyone would love to be the next Hamilton, but even those who just want to see what there car goes like round the twisties, this is the perfect place.
0-60 challenge: Who has the quickest car? During the lunch break we will be running a competition to see who tops the leader board... the winners will get a special prize!
Show and Shine: Who's gone that extra mile? Who's spent more time polishing their car than driving? This most coveted award will be judged by a special guest.
Camping: It wouldn't be the AMM without this! The site will be open from 5pm on Friday evening for anyone wishing to make a weekend of the event. There will be a marquee to shelter in and I'm sure the beer will be flowing and burgers burning.
Food: There will be an onsite cafe open from 9am for food and drinks, and we expect the Ice Cream van to make an appearance. Picnics are encouraged, just not while out on track!
Extras: Tuition from our in-house team of real life racing drivers will be available free of charge. They'll sit with you for a couple of laps and give you some pointers. Just grab them when they're not busy.
Other Info: All MEV owners and builders are welcome, whatever you drive, but the track time is only available for MEVs, so don't bring the family barge along hoping for some track action. If your car can be driven, it should be OK on the track (subject to a once over from the organisers)
The boring stuff: As this event takes place on track, there are some rules we need to abide by. Before using the circuit all participants will be required to:
1. Sign two Indemnity forms
. This means if you have an off, you've only got yourself to blame
2. Provide a full driving licence
. In date please, and in your name
3. Be physically fit
. Driving fast puts extra stresses on your body, just ask Lewis Hamilton
4. Be a competent driver
. You've managed to build a car, we hope you can drive it
5. Wear an approved helmet. Arms and legs must be covered at all times
. Under no circumstances do we want to see you in your undercrackers
6. Attend the Circuit Safety Briefing.
. The REALLY boring part. Make sure you've got a coffee in you before hand.
Ok. I'm sold. Where do I sign?
Registration will open on the 1st March (as we need to sort a sensible way of taking payments!) but in the meantime, feel free to add your name to the list below so everyone knows you're coming along.

2. Sylv Mutch
