I'll start by saying I'm the most clueless mechanical/spannering minded person. Mine was for a rocket. Buy a sheet of Polycarbonate. I've no affiliation to these people, just whom I bought it off. Size was a guess by me but was more than adequate for the rocket, if your good at measuring/working out you can obviously buy it for less. I bought 2 pieces, in the end didn't need to, just used one. Guess you might be able to get a smoked colour one, clear is fine for me. www.theplasticpeople.co.ukProducts Min Order £24.99 - To avoid a small order surcharge increase your order value by Option - SOL SURCHARGE CTS - Cut to Size Polycarbonate Colour - CLEAR Gauge - 4mm Length - 1300(mm) Width - 500(mm) Sub-Total : £58.50 Next Day Standard Delivery : £8.50 Total : £67.00 How to do it, buy a massive piece of hardboard this for me was an iterative process as on the rocket the screen base needs to be on a curve. I used wallpaper at first to try and get the general idea of what I wanted. Used this to cut out the hardboard version, my first one was way out threw it away after using it to make adjustments, rinse and repeat as many times as you need to I think mine took about 4 or 5 hardboard versions. Then you need to fit it, meaning on the rocket drilling holes in the bonnet, get some bolts/washers/nuts and attach it, this was obviously the no going back part ie those holes are in your bonnet. So fitted the hardboard windscreen, went out for a test drive (looking an idiot) thought it was fine. So used the hardboard as a template for the proper polycarbonate version. Attached that tightened bolts up and went to Switzerland and back in it the next week, was fine, I also sit quite tall in the car so mine was quite high, alot higher than the RTR provided ones. On a private road I did a max speed run and it didn't shatter/rip off or do anything bad and as I say mine I think has a 12 inch height so it's quite a bit higher than the RTR one. I cannot stress how hopeless I am at doing this stuff, but even I found it relatively easy, and keep the hardboard final version and you can knock a new one out if you ever break it for whatever reason. Regards Graham

If people/anyone fancy it, though looks like it may get pricey.
I do fancy Norway, but that will be an expensive trip whatever way it's done, homemade or guided tour.
Looking through this thread seems there are 3 people who may be interested.
I'm happy to help organise something or quite happy to do a guided tour thing, fairly open to going anywhere within reason Europe most likely if we are still allowed in.

I'll get myself organised and book stuff next week.
Any of us northeners want to do the Hull - Zebrugge ferry - I don't mind either way tunnel or Hull ferry. The entry ramps might be a bit interesting, but I guess I go first as I'm the one likely to ground out easiest.
Anyway looking forward to another good trip.

I keep mine outside under a car cover. I posted pictures and info of the cover I purchased in another post, not sure where. To be honest if you let the air run around under the cover it seems to keep the damp at bay. At worst I've had a small amount of mold begin to grow on steering wheel and the seat belts, but a quick clean soon got rid of that. The cover has expanded some since purchase, hence it gets quite windy under there, but I see that as no bad thing. Worst thing is trying to stop the pools of water forming on the cover - which I generally manage to do, but I've just been away for 2 weeks and had a bigish one to remove on my return, no biggy, just need to keep an eye on it. Security wise it is behind a 7 foot wooden gate, so only time people see it's there is when I drive in and out the drive - they have to have been looking over the wall to know it's there, get it started without waking me. Open the locked gate and move another car infront of that gate to get it out.
So far it really doesn't seem to have affected it much - I'm not the most clued up mechanic in the world. I haven't coated it in anything apart from mud and road crap that I occaisionally wash off it.
Hope that is of some use.
Graham

Some nice vids there. Always fun in the wet, good to see you catch the back end a couple of times as well as not manage to. Did the Tyre wall in the off do any damage ?

Manta, where did you get the gold paint from, I need some to paint mine with ? The gold was factory supplied by RTR and unfortunately I don't have a paint-chip pot to get a code off. Exo sports supplied the wing and uprights, and the uprights are a pretty good match for colour, maybe they could give you a code. Martin The gold RAL code is 1036 pearlescant. Looks like i can buy 400 ml cans for around £16 unless anyone knows of where to obtain cheaper than that. Graham
