Tyre update £300 spent on Nankang ns2r and 2 day's spent on castor, camber, tracking and suspension settings and wow I am now driving the car as opposed to fighting it at speed.

Its been a long time since I posted on my rocket thread but thought it was about time I did. I've been checking my tyres out and they still have loads of tread left but they seem to be spinning up quite a lot. I bought the wheels and tyres in 2010 so the rubber should be about 7 years old you would think. so I suppose the rubber will be starting to go off. Did a bit of research on line and tyre rubber should last up to 10 years so mine are well with in that time period you would think Not so I also checked the DOT date code on the tyres to find they were manufactured in 2005 so that might explain the lack of grip. So a word to the wise if you buy a wheel and tyre package check the date on the tyres as kit cars are light they don't tend to wear out the tyres just the rubber goes off

all fine my rocket worked the same as your exocet no problems with iva the best way to think of it is that's how the mx5 worked and that would have been type approved so I would not be worried by the way what was the problem with reverse light

A little hint on fixing the mudguards use pu as advised but when set glass over them it makes them twice as strong but still hides all the fixings I did this with my rocket after the powder coat came off the hangers and the mud guards started flapping in the breez
