Hello!
I've just started stripping a MK2 donor in prep for starting an Exocet build. It's currently a stock 1.8, but I was planning on adding a turbo at some stage as it'll become a weekend/track toy. (So road legal and insured in the UK)
I'm just wondering - would I be better leaving it stock, passing the IVA, getting some driving time with it to make sure the engine's working as intended and then adding the turbo at a later date?
Or would it be easier in the long run putting the turbo on before the IVA so it's registered as a turbo engine and I don't have to add 'modifications' to any insurance I get?
Thanks for any thoughts/responses - I've happily replaced failed things in cars over the years but it's my first time with a project of this magnitude!

Oops - meant to stick this under the @exocet board under "My Vehicle Section" but looks like I hit 'Create' in the wrong tab. I don't appear to be able to move it - happy for a Mod to do so if they find this! Sorry!
