WOW, what a fantastic weekend, UB40 were the headline act on Sat night, Reggae and Racing, perfect. Over 100,000 people in attendance, hot air balloons lit the back drop at night over the illuminated funfair with Le Man prototype cars racing until sunset. It was breath taking. So much going off it was impossible to take it all in and then just when your senses were on overload a small plane does aerobatics whilst firing pyrotechnics from 1000 feet, just brilliant. MEV were the only kit car firm exhibiting, no wonder most of the rest of the industry is failing and moaning about lack of trade, lazy gets no rewards in my book. We sowed seeds for many future builders, actually sold not a single kit BUT there were literally thousands of people who took leaflets and were clearly excited by what we had to offer. Freaky did very well, he was so happy he even paid for a pint of lager for me (£5.50 per pint, OUCH) it tastes so much better when it is free! Many thanks to Nigel who is a gaffer at Draper tools and owns an Exocet, he was so impressed with our kit car he presented me with the much coveted Draper special achievements award. He said it was the best kit car in the show! It literally was the best (and the worst actually)
