Hello all, It's coming to the end of my build of the Exocet and so I'm looking for insurance for which my father will be the policy holder and me (a 19 year old) as a named driver. The trouble is I can't find a single insurance company that will take me due to me being under 25... I realise now I should've looked before hand but building the exocet by myself was a great experience so now I just want to drive the thing other than taking it on the track. If anyone knows any insurance company that takes on under 25 year olds please let me know it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Harry

worst case drive it on a 3rd party basis's, as long as you fully comp on another vehicle, some policies will allow you to drive another vehicle 3rd party. have a look at my recent insurance post, hopefully one of the companies listed will insure under 25's

I'm in the same boat - building one at the moment but only 19 too! I called Adrian Flux just for a rough quote (don't think mine will be finished for another 6 months or so) and they said they would be happy to insure me without a named driver, 3000 miles a year and garaged for £1100.. I suppose expensive insurance is better than not being able to drive it at all!
