Hi anyone had issues with zetec 2.0 with throttle bodies with omex 600 ecu failing mot on emissions vey rich aparantly gge says if i download the omex software to a laptop and have the leads which i believe i have they may be able to change things to bring things back into line, but im a total novice with computers i have found the omex web site and attempted to download software but only get pdf files explaining what the software can do. Im sure im doing something wrong dont want to keep bugging Jason (airforce one)who i bought it from im sure he must be sick of me by now,can anyone give me a pointer in where a what to download pls cheers andrew

Is it running closed loop at idle?
Our Omex package was not set up to run closed loop so this had to be set up, and then after that we had to tweek the fuel map to get sensible LAMBDA values.

I honestly dont know it must have been ok at sva but that was a few years ago and a lot has been done to it in the meantime ie throttle bodies and tuning which was done before i bought it so im in the dark as to what is fitted i am wondering if it is a lamba sensor fault but im just guesing if i can get the program to read the ecu im hoping that will help

the software is free from OMEX, but before you adjust anything save the original file. If you then download the operators manual, there is a section in there under closed loop fuel control. Also with throttle bodies you will need to run scatter spark to get is to idle spot on. Throttle bodies are a bit of a pain to set up but its worth it. Ours starts on the button from stone cold and idles well. when up to to temp it will then idle at 950 rpm. It passed its IVA Last week, and the tester actually remarked how clean the emmisions were.
