Hi gwnwar, bump stops are good thanks and yes I was informed by tojeiro about a company on ebay that has made them for the sport model (the only one in England). The only issues is that they are to be fitted by leaving the old bush carrier in place but I have already removed them so will have to see how they fit. I would not want them to be slack as they will not last very long. kind regards

yes that's the ones. I have spoken to the company and they do an upgraded set for a few more £££ so that's what I have gone for. I might have to make an outer steel sleeve to ensure the best fit.
cheers

1, can you use braded hoses for iva ?
2, brake pipes 3/16 ? and what type of flare ?
3, can you use aftermarket steering wheel for iva or use original until pass ? what about air bags on original wheel??
4, if I use the seatbelts from my donor it has explosive pre tensioner on them can I still use or do I need to buy new seat belts?
5, with regards lights for iva what do they need to have on them i.e. E Mark or can I use any type ? what about LED lights do they need any marking on them

1, can you use braded hoses for iva ?
I have run braided fuel and brake lines for ease of fitting. So long as it is the correct grade you can use it.
2, brake pipes 3/16 ? and what type of flare ?
I cannot remember sizing, run a search through Google and there are plenty of threads giving the correct size.
3, can you use aftermarket steering wheel for iva or use original until pass ? what about air bags on original wheel??
You can use aftermarket but it needs to be padded, no solid surfaces on it.
4, if I use the seatbelts from my donor it has explosive pre tensioner on them can I still use or do I need to buy new seat belts?
No idea on this as I am running harnesses
5, with regards lights for iva what do they need to have on them i.e. E Mark or can I use any type ? what about LED lights do they need any marking on them
Would have to check the manual on this. If you buy lights from a reputable seller they will state whether or not they are suitable for IVA.

Yes2, brake pipes 3/16 ? and what type of flare ? 3/16th some have double male flare, look up the holes.3, can you use aftermarket steering wheel for iva or use original until pass ? what about air bags on original wheel?? If it has an air bag it will need covering with shore 50 rubber or an after market wheel without holes in the spokes and min 2.5 mm radii. Collapsible boss required.4, if I use the seatbelts from my donor it has explosive pre tensioner on them can I still use or do I need to buy new seat belts? Tensioner will have to be modified to be solid or pref swapped out.5, with regards lights for iva what do they need to have on them i.e. E Mark or can I use any type ? what about LED lights do they need any marking on them Lights need to emit light comparable to E marked lights but fog needs E mark and an R or Bcheers

. Well a real productive night, After tying myself up in knot's regarding the Bilstien shocks and just about giving up the engineer at work asked me to bring them in. it just goes to show sometimes you just need a top engineer he sorted the issue in minuets and now not a problem. Thanks to Martin I can now stop overthinking the problem and move on . He took a 0.8mm sheet of galv steel and made some collars to fit inside the shocks that now are 1.6mm smaller in diameter which is the right size for the bush then cut the new bush in half then pressed it home from both sides ensuring that the collar stayed put, I know this seems quite simple fix but sometimes you cant see the wood for the trees if you know what I mean. Thankyou Martin.

Another good start to the day,
Mikeeboy popped round for a look at the Wiring harness, it was so nice to speak in person with someone else that is doing a build it has re energised me to keep moving on. Its good for someone to see what your doing in person and it allows you to discuss different ways of doing things. I have realised that I need to stop overthinking things and it would be a good idea to go and see some other builds to give me some different options. Mikeeboy has kindly invited me to have a look at his build which I will be taking him up on the offer cheers. I will have to make the effort to look at the calendar and see when the next MEV day out is so I can actually see one that is finished and gather some valuable info.
