can anyone show me some pictures of how much they cut the front upper wishbones for the plate to bolt onto them please?
Not sure if i cut the center piece right out or just enough for the new wishbone banana plates to be clear of obstruction?.

A lot would depend on what shock setup you will be running..

Some standard shocks may fit the gap, but If they don't, cut away the central stem between the two holes that the bananas use to be bolted on to

Just bolt the banana plate to the wishbone and draw round any material in the centre that sticks beyond it. This is your cut.
I used a reciprocating saw to trim the shape of the banana in to it.

Also make sure you cut the lip off the front subframes whilst you can, take about 20mm off it, otherwise the shocks will hit there as well.

I would fit the shocks you have, then see if you have to remove metal should not have to.

I think MEV changed the angle of the shock mounting on the new chassis. All build threads from the last 18 months or so cannot get the chassis on without cutting the edge off the front subframes with at least the mk2 cars.

i have looked at getting some off the shelf ones and they just don't do them not even Bilstein sell them As for getting them made no one is prepared to do a one off run of them as it costs too much. one of the members has found a company that has made some on Ebay and i have been speaking to them but they are designed to fit by leaving the old metal sleeves in situ (which i have removed) so going to order them at a cost of around £80 and fingers crossed they will fit. still cant believe that i cant get them off the shelf.
