So I am writing this blog on behalf of my brother Dave (Freshp5) who does not have access to a laptop and like a few people only surfs this forum on their phones So Dave had been talking for a while now about building another kit and as we are both joint owners in the yellow Mevster it meant one of us always had to take the passenger seat. Also with my son Jamie sometimes joining us we had to take a tin top Pistons and Props in September 2016, a 2 day event proved to be one of those 'lets draw straws' events with Dave and Jamie getting Saturday and me and Jamie getting Sunday Sunday came and we all set off to the event which was a great day saw loads of cars and met some good people At the end of the event we set off for home with Dave behind us in his daily works van. On the way home Dave flagged me down and we regrouped at the services with nothing but panic going through my mind. Was there something wrong with the Mev or had the cursed white van decided to have another fit. Dave had received a call that would bring a new chapter to our Team Mevster Crew. He had been offered the chance to purchase the older brother to our yellow Mevster from another forum member. Darren (mrjingles) Started his build at the same time as we did back in 2014 with dave visiting him on the odd occasion to check how it was going . Darrens build had hit a stumbling block due to a ankle injury he would not be able to complete the build or even drive it . So not wanting to see it go to waste dave jumped at the chance to complete it. So on the 1st October we where greeted with this a part built mevster with some of the first build work done but still a long way from completion .We loaded up the trailer and the big van dave had borrowed with what seemed like box after box of items for the car Brakes, wiring, steering and all the panels still wrapped in bubble wrap for the journey back to its new home in daves modified shed. So as you can see Dave has been busy over Christmas weekends working on his new toy with a bit of help from ken here is where he is at now A few bits of trim and some seat belts it will be ready for the big IVA test thanks for reading

Brilliant news guy's. For a minute I assumed you had crammed a 2.0 engine in your car. Sorry to hear Darren didn't manage to finish it but glad it's gone to a good home. Have fun, I know you will.

I had to think of a introduction that attracted attention to this new project and the things we have learnt from our first build Seeing daves grin the day we picked it up and the first time he fired up the engine and hearing that 1.8cc engine beat again after 2 years sleep tells me this is going to be a good year

Just waiting for you guys to break cover before I said anything Absolutely gutted that I won't be finishing what I started but since I'm looking at a likely ankle Fusion as things stand right now I had to admit defeat.... even if I'd somehow completed the build the truth is, way things are right now, I doubt I could have driven it. But - I'm more than happy with you guys being the ones to finish this. Didn't want to break it for parts or let it go to some random guy off ebay who may never complete it as there are so few of these about and I knew you'd love to have one each!

Don't think you could have found a better home for it mrjingles705 . freshp5 sounds like a kid in a candy store! Shame you couldn't finish it yourself, but I'm sure Dave and Steve will be round to take you out in it once IVA'd .......just hope Dave doesn't do his "speciality" do-nuts!! Martin
