Not sure if this is the right place to post my query but as its only relevant to Replicars and combines two of the tech sections here goes.
Is there any reason why I couldn't/shouldn't run the brake and fuel lines from front to rear in the enclosed cill section on the drivers side?

That's where they tend to run on Sonics

That's where they tend to run on Sonics Yes, on Sonics you mount to the chassis rail (nearside on mine) and the body panel goes over the top so it becomes an enclosed space. My tank is in the rear, so it is only the brake line. If you do that, I'd advise taking photos to show how the lines are fastened to the chassis, with a ruler or suchlike to show how far apart the clips are. All useful evidence for IVA Martin

Thanks gents, I may well have the top of the enclosed space removable or hinged but if I dont I'll follow your advice for IVA Martin.
mawdo81 is it ok to leave this query in the replicar threads or will it need moving (assume this will be done by others if so?)

Not sure what the advantage will be. The lines will be longer and you will need to protect them from stone damage front and rear.

Afraid I didn't install them before flipping chassis and dont fancy trying to crawl underneath, my Shogun has pipework running in plastic trays which protect them from stones and rock damage so may well use some of this where pipes run in front of/ behind wheels. The other option I thought of using to protect the pipes is to run them in clear plastic (dont know whether this is ok for IVA). The guy that used to maintain my Landy always did this when pipes needed renewing and it reached the point where the whole vehicle had brake lines inside clear plastic piping. I sold it many years ago and they were still like new; I bet they outlasted the car.

Just to throw a spanner into the works. I remember being told that the IVA regs say that fuel lines cannot be inside the cockpit of the vehicle. I appreciate that running the lines down the sides is outside of the framework and I am not saying you shouldn't be done but worth remembering. I have just scanned the IVA guide and didn't fine the reference but it does sound right.
